I've seen threads on AB asking for most defensive, favorite sp, etc. All good threads that I've enjoyed reading through. What got me into the hobby was how beautiful T's are.

It can be from your own personal collection or a Tarantula on your wishlist.

I could easily pick all of my other Ts too, they are all special to me.
Those pictures belong in frames.
Lol it's probably easier to try and answer your first question. Most first specimens from a genus prompt me to get more species from said genus lol.

Fortunately, I have a lot of different flavors of eye candy in my collection.

Those are some beautiful T
Like everyone else, I don't really think I could pick a top 3. There are a few that stand out, though...

I have 2 vangoghi slings right now. My Colombia wouldn't take live prey for some time. The vangoghi's at a bit over 1/4" were taking down handicapped small crickets. I love both sp but Vangoghi as adults are beautiful

Unreal! That's the Holy Grail pampho. My friend said he passed up a sling selling for $350. Too steep for me, but looking at yours i suppose it's worth it.
In Canada they're cheap and available like T. albos are here. 😆 :troll:

I gotta change my vote to my g pulchra since it looks good even in premolt
Wow. My female is right around 3" DLS. They take
For me it's my L. klugi for others my T. seladonia
Great choice. I have one in premolt now. Size in between molts is ridiculous. I'm gonna have to get her a dozen crickets and 5 hornworms and she still won't be done 😂

Sunrise, 0.1 Pamphobeteus insignis. Photos don't do her justice. The shades of purple and burgundy on her are stunning. One of my favorite Pamphos for sure.

Very nice T's and excellent pictures but I also really like the natural look of the enclosure surrounds that I can see, very well done.

P. ornata. Actually I like the coloration of the subfuscas (low or high) more but ornata girls just get so impressively huge. The one shown is well into the 8"s and I suspect rubbing 9" (her front legs alone outstretched are broader than my entire AF OBT). Second would be my S. calceatum (though she's been a bit shy lately) and third a P. antinous (sp. antinous - not totally sure which) but she's one big bold well groomed black spider.
