17 cm...stick to pinkies please

1) More humane, a bigger prey takes longer to die (at 17 cm)

2) It's too much food for an already well fed spider

3) You got leftovers to pick

4) Parahybana's aren't realy rodents eaters thus not suited to eat a lot of them. Try to find frogs or lizards instead. Nothing bigger than it's abdomen

Dark bando de gringu imbecil. eles num come carne de vaca? num importa se a vaca morre rapido importa q vc tira a vida dela pra se dar ao lucho de comer. intaum pq num pode matar um rato?
I agree with Merfolk (I guess I'm part of the "imbecil gringo" crowd).

I don't know of one good reason to feed that kind of prey item to a new world t... much less in Brazil where large insects, amphibians and small reptiles abund and which comprize the bulk of the t's native diet. More importantly, have you ever heard of a NW t eating a mouse/rat in the wild? Why would you assume that they are adequate prey in captivity? Genetically modified lab mice... hmmm...

Roaches and other insects are considerably richer in protein than mice/rats/rodents and clearly a better choice IMO.

BTW, I don't about Brazil but here in Canada, cows are killed in a reasonably humane fashion... I guess to us, it does matter how long it takes for them to die. ;)

Cheers!

nice pics. i myself am not too much a fan of the whole gorey, mutiliated corpse scene. when my Ts get big, they're getting roaches, large crickets and grasshoppers.

Well don't forget

There are many kinds of small groud dwelling mammals in South American perhaps thousands whos to say Brazilian Salmon's don't prey on them at least every once in a while maybe they are a staple part of there diet? Last time i checked there wasnt alot of info on there habits in the wild.

man do you speak portuguese? now i'm in trouble hahahahhahahahahahahaha

but there are a lot of small mamals in brazil and they probably are part of lasiodoras diet. i ve seen pictures of lasiodoras eating bats in the wild. so i believe that they eat small mamals.

PS: sorry for that "imbecil gringo" i will change it.
