they're coffee jars but yeah, i thought they were ideal for my little arboreals, i'v got an A.metallica in the right hand jar, a P.irminia in the middle, and P.regalis on the left. they're all buddies and enjoy living together, lol :D

My Girl is now over 6" and still growing. Recently stopped eating so she may be getting in the molt mood! While common, this is a great beginner tarantula as she usually sits in the open. The size is very impressive.

nice! thats a big girl there. i hope my lp turns out to be a girl as well. its still very small and likes to hide, but it should be molting any day now.

kinda random, but where did you get a 7" ruler? seems odd to me. i dont think i've ever seen one. oh well.

I purchased my gal on 1/11/05 and she was a little shy of 1/2". She is a big eater and usually does not pass up a meal. I have seen her with three large crickets in her fangs at one time (where was the camera?)!!! She likes to sit in the open most of the time, but does have a hide where she will take her food to eat. I think this is one of the best beginner tarantulas if you have the room for a 10 gal tank.

Ah, all these fast growing L. parahybana's and mine is soooooo slow no matter how much I feed it. Seriously one of these days I'm waiting for it to molt and get adult coloration and turn out to be a Brachypelma! I guess that wouldn't be too bad either though!

On the chance of being criticized for not enough substrate, here is a pic of the enclosure. Pretty basic but she does not complain. She generally goes from the hide to the dish and then back again. I have never seen here go anywhere else!

L. Parahybana is easily one of the fastest growing species I personally have ever worked with...I bought mine a year and a half ago as a speck of dust really and its now over the 7 inch mark...For the price you can't beat em, they get big and impressive and make fantastic display T's...Best part is there will never be a shortage of them :D
