Awsome pics dude!......sorry to hear about your Avic sac....i jus picked up a freshly molted MM a. avic....hes all yours when im done wit him....hes a good size, and is hella fat for a MM.....prooly gunna pair him up wit my female tonight, so should be able to bring him down wit me, when i come to grab them slings......

...oh, btw...its lookin like i will have some versi slings up for grabs......pullin the sac feb3rd....she laid on jan 7th,....i dont like to count my slings before they hatch, but this one is lookin good!
Nice. Well thanks, but no thanks. I'm gonna let her relax and molt before I might try breeding her again. She's just barely a hair under 4"... that might also be a factor. Teen moms!:embarrassed:

Versis though... I'm sure I'll get back to you on that heheheh.

How are those Cyriocosmus doing?
They're doing great. A lot of them have molted twice already since I've seperated them, and are about .5" now. They look like miniature adults already!

Yup. When he refused a meal, I started to pump her girlfriend up. She's in dry mode now, I'm going to clean out her enclosure soon before she molts and start getting the "wet season" on for these two. It took almost a month for him to molt, and she's still packin' those crickets own!

I hope that she won't show her boy the same courtesy!

Yes, boss!

I'm not going to call this gal a baumgarteni just yet. Not that I don't value brachybaum's opinion, but I'm going to wait until she's adult size. Surely by then it will be 100% clear.
Adult baumgarteni should look like this. Adult boehmei like this. Both pics from Tarantula Canada.

yeah. still a bit confusing at her age. Well, I hope you get what you want -- wether it be boehmi or baumgarteni.

give them HONEYBEES and see the difference!!!!
Don't wanna risk the health of my spiders just for color. 'Sides, no captive, indoor, feeding-on-flowers-with-no-pesticides bees (the only kind I would maybe consider feeding, without stings) around here that I know of.

I want a boehmei, because of the orange, but a baumgarteni would be fine too.

So anyway, it seems I was too hasty with the Avic sac. As I mentioned earlier I kept them in an incubator anyway. Well yesterday, I was picking off the shriveled and black ones, when I see what looked like mold growth on a couple of the eggs. Except it wasn't mold. It was post embryos!

Two at first, and by yesterday night, four. They are survivors! There are a few eggs that haven't turned dark or shriveled yet, so I'm hoping there will be some more that crop up soon.

First a little update on the A. avic slings... one bit the dust before molting into first instar.. but the remaining three made it! Here are a couple of pics.

It was also feeding time for the perezmilesi slings, so I took a bunch of pics...

One of several late bloomers. I think this one's still 3rd instar, but wouldn't eat. Hopefully premolt.

This one's 4th instar, I think...

Feeding shots!

Before and after:)

The P. "antinous" has a bite as well.

Gbb's been webbing lots and stopped eating... finally!

And finally, my first decent shot of my OBT. This one's more reclusive than my H. lividum!

Thanks fer lookin'!

Thank you. It was no less than 4! They were superworms, by the way. A big girl needs a big meal!

Awsome pics man!...glad to see the avic slings progressing...

The 'ol MM is still kickin....Put him in with my female..co-habed them for like 5 days...seen him make at least 3 sperm webs, so i know he made a contribution......i have a fresh large MM aswell, so between the 2 of 'em, i should get a sac out of this girl eventually

Thanks. He still hasn't eaten yet, but he's doing well I guess. If only she'd hurry up and molt already!
No need to be jealous, if all goes according to plan, I may have some little guys running around!

That video game was Metal Gear Solid....liquid snake anyone?
That cricket disguise wasn't such a good idea. He should stick with the box, IMO:D

Here's a vid of my A. avic with a superworm. Tong fed her, but she bit the wrong end.:wall:

Sad day

Well it's not the best start of the day.
My C. perezmilesi has been acting out of sorts for a few days, and today I found the big mama perezmilesi dead on her web, no curl or anything. I realized something was wrong when she was in the same place and pose since yesterday morning. She was very limp and felt like all her innards were soup. I think she's been dead a while...:(

She was a big dwarf though!

I'm a bit sad, but at least she completed her purpose in life, one last time!
I'll miss her, but at the rate her kids are growing, I'll have a few (small) big mamas around soon!

Speaking of big...
