This chunky little Theraphosinae sp. mandarin sling molted on Christmas. I was able to snag her molt and sex her as female! I'm excited because she's quickly become one of my favorites. The first photo is of her in premolt, the second is a photo of her tiny spermathecae under my dissecting scope ( you may need to zoom in).
I had my Dolichothele minerium and Tapinauchenius sp Tena both molt and get new homes once they hardened up. I still don't know what either adult looks like, but I have a little space to try stuff out for fun.
Got moults today from.
Amazonius Burgessi
Poecilotheria Regalis
Chilobrachys Sp. Kaeng Krachan
Psalmopoeus Cambridgei and
Pterinochilus Murinis Usambara is actually in the middle of moulting right now.
Happy Christmas and Happy New Year!
My Costa Rica Zebra molted today after 26 days from the last time it molted.
I'll just name it Nora or Rofarer or Pedro or Elon or Yahanyuan. Not sure of its gender yet.
