I’m not sure I’ve ever been this excited about a moult. Just before Christmas I got a speck in the post. A Pseudohapalopus sp Blue. I could not believe how small it was. A couple of mm across if that. So i popped it in my tiniest cup and kept my fingers crossed. Today it left me it’s first moult in my care. 🥹

Phormictopus cancerides 'bayahibe' flipped last night, the same day a female arrived. She's a little smaller than him. :/

Did NOT mature!!! Definitely broke 6"

Currently, in the hide, is an upside down LP, and when she does her thing, obviously I’ll post some updates! Couldn’t be happier, first moult since I got her just before Christmas!!!!!!! Fingers crossed she’s successful!!!

I wanted to share molts by these 2 beauties today -

0.0.1 Cyriocosmus sp. oronegro, about 1.25" DLS now and looking like an adult:

0.1 Tapinauchenius polybotes, 3" DLS, and the camera doesn't do all her colors justice:

T. sp violaceus "T3" caught me a little by surprise the other day -- it'd had "hungry toes" out and I'd given it a cricket which I thought it ate. Instead, I peeked in to discover the cricket hanging out on an edge, and a very transparent white rice-noodle leg or two stretching in the burrow.

The cricket was promptly retrieved and fed to the psalmo next door and T3 is hardening up nicely, still tucked safely behind all its fancy dirt curtains where I can't even get a terrible photo worth joking about.

(he was hanging off the wall and completely motionless when I filmed him for several minutes)

Fresh G Pulchripes Male. Not got a good enough camera to pick up the moult but bought this as a female and turns out it's male. Still a gorgeous Tarantula 20250206_212540.jpg 20250206_212529.jpg

P. Victori juvie hardening up today, molt is somewhere inaccessible in the web tunnel. Hopefully he throws it out for me, although he's looking suspiciously fluffy when I peek in there. 20250208_082711.jpg

Too much red setae on the legs for a MM, if you're concerned about that. The pipe cleaners are much darker.

Thanks! I was worried, because he's really quite small (not even 4"DLS), but I've heard they can mature really tiny. He turned around and I was able to see he had not matured yet. Not 100% on the sexing, but pretty sure it's male. I'll check this molt to confirm when he hardens up/tosses it out for me.
