Avicularia avicularia Adult Female - Juniper

I put off getting Avicularia for so many years and this girl was my first. She's old now, well over a decade, and doesn't have the best appetite anymore. Her moults are coming three years apart and I am always prepared for her to go.

First post-moult meal. She's looking a bit thin, but that is because she has put on a considerable amount of size this moult. I will have her fattened up in no time.

My senior Avicularia avicularia M1 moulted today - three years almost to the day of the last one. She is more than 10 years old and I thought I was going to lose her this winter. She is the girl who started my love of arboreals and I'm glad she is going to stick around a while longer. ♥

Exo Terra Mini Tall Terraria for Arboreals

I wanted to share photos of terraria I’ve set up for Poecilotheria — feedback and suggestions are welcome. :) I’m pretty happy with the artificial plants in this one — especially the bamboo. They are more for me than my ever shy P. subfusca; they seem quite happy with the found wood they have...
