Today was the 6th one to molt in the last 10 days.

Still tiny, but a little bit less so now!

Not the best view but went to check on my new C. Versicolor sling to find out she molted sometime between when I got done with work and finished eating dinner.

I know it looks humid in there but I literally had just put water drops all over the webbing just a few hours ago. 20230222_192900.jpg 20230222_192900.jpg 20230222_205029.jpg

My now adult female Dolichothele diamantinensis 'Lil Kim' just moulted was 2.5 inches on her moult and she looks like she's around 3 inches now . Super excited as this is my first tarantula that I have raised from a tiny 0.5cm sling to the stunning adult I have today 😁 (all my others are much slower growing) 20230223_074350.jpg
Time to sort out her big girl viv now 😁

Molted sometime over the last week.
Hopefully get a sex out of this molt 🤞As long as it doesn't destroy it first lol.

Li Shang (1.0 C. schmidti) molted yesterday, leaving me a perfectly intact exuvia to preserve for display. Beautiful golden setae on this spider. When he emerges from his burrow I'll try to get a photo of him freshly molted. From the brief glimpses I've caught of him so far, there was a significant size increase.

Gwen my Pterinopelma sazimai juvenile female, moulted last night while I slept 😊 will put up pics of her moult size later as her feet are touching it and I don't want to spook her by pulling it , she's always been a little... high strung shall we say 😆

Eventually got the moult off Gwen just over 7cm or just under 3inches depending on where your from, n even though she chewed the moult she left the important bit for a reference pic. That's 6ish cm growth in the 17 months I have had her well done Gwen 😊

Doing morning checks now I have 5 minutes to (half term 🙄) and Mameha my Grammostola pulchripes has moulted I can't get the moult or a pic of her as she is deep in her burrow and using her moult as a temporary door 😆

fingers crossed she kicks it out soon without destroying it and I will know if she is definitely a she 🤞

Remember when I complained about how my O. violacepes was growing ridiculously slowly because of low home temperatures?

Turns out I spoke too soon, because today the little bugger just threw this out of its lair: IMG_5928.jpg

Apparently, it molted a few days ago and I never once realized it was in premolt due to how shy this particular T is at the best of times.

I can't get a good look at this T but it's probably close to or a bit over 2" DLS now (I got it as a 1/2" sling last September, this is its third molt with me). Sadly, given how badly mangled the molt is, I have doubts about the abdomen being intact enough for sexing, though we shall see.

Really hoping this, plus the genic sling molt also from a few days back and the C. schmidti molt some weeks back is a sign my remaining T's will be molting in a short space of time. There are a few Ts in my collection I've been waiting to molt for weeks or months, either so I can rehouse them (as with my P. regalis and P. metallica slings), or in Anihan's case (0.1.0 Ornithoctoninae sp. "Haribon", the pride of my collection) just to see how big she'll get this time.

My little Citharognathus tongmianensis sling molted overnight. It should be close to .75" DLS now. Here's a bad pic...
