Doing morning checks now I have 5 minutes to (half term 🙄) and Mameha my Grammostola pulchripes has moulted I can't get the moult or a pic of her as she is deep in her burrow and using her moult as a temporary door 😆
If she had only turned it the other way, lol!

2 more molted today:

0.0.1 Harpactira chrysogaster (no pics). Been waiting on this one to molt forever - it's been displaying premolt behavior since September and hasn't eaten since the start of December! That's a long time for a little sling - I was starting to wonder if it was really a Brachypelma!

1.0 Heteroscodra maculata, should be 4.5" now. He always molts in the most awkward place/position possible.

We can get attached to any animal whose company and care we are committed to. The loss of a beloved pet it hard, regardless of how many legs it has.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Thank you just bummed more because the loss before that was my eresus Walckenaeri. I’ve had two losses since I started this collection I have now. Hopefully there isn’t anymore. All the fatties have been eating including my new Phidippus Regius I obtained because a coworker almost killed it. That lil booger has an appetite of a lion. On another note I got my first ever threat pose from my freshly molted H. Pulchripes. So adorbs 😍 🤣 CCDDED15-E407-4AE4-B49C-09FD90E7FEE5.jpeg

My smallest G.pulchra ( just under 1inch dls) in its fresh new skin. Molted 5 days ago. My microscope is being delivered today so i cant wait to see if its a boy or a girl. I love the black colouration on these. Easily my favourite species. Its a shame theyre so costly otherwise i think my collection would consist of just these. 20230228_162725.jpg

My juvenile female B. boehmi molted yesterday evening, for the second time since I got her in September 22. I reckon she's approaching 120mm DLS now. B boehmi moults 02.jpg

…and she’s swiftly becoming my favorite, as last night she came out of hiding and this morning I find a near perfect molt deposited at the edge of her burrow. 96865109-15CB-445A-80E7-4108A928CB81.jpeg

My Male G.pulchra put down his molt mat yesterday afternoon. must have sat and watched him for a few hours to witness his flip but nothing. Went to bed and awoke to this beauty. Around 2.5 - 3 inch dls after his molt. The colour is just amazing and the camera does not do it justice. Almost blue in some lights. My ultimate species.

Addendum: A. purpurea "Baby T" (yes, due for a rename if it will let us try to sex the molt this time) did not want to be outdone by its neighbor.

Woke up this morning and found my almost-adult female Ceratogyrus darling in the process of molting.
