Great photos, Jan. And great collection! Love the E. murinus. Love the shots of the Homoeomma. I'm going to have to try your suggestions with settings. I think yours may be a molt or two ahead of mine, also.

Looks beautiful Jan! My girl matured to about the same size, and very badly needs a molt!! :) Hoping any time now, they do look so lovely when fresh.
Thanks, I hope she'll calm down some after this last molt. Always have to be on my toes when dealing with her, hehe. She's not one of those that reacts once messed with, but already before. She senses my movement already when I step before the cage and she usually turns to face me, just waiting for me to make a mistake and lunge at me, lol :D Vicious little monster

Thank you, Joyce! The female is around 3.5" - 4" now maybe, the male though is around 4"-4.5" already. He was smaller than her when I got them and he sure as hell grows quicker (still slow overall) :D

Now look who showed up last night..."Phaedra", my beautiful 5", adult female, P. irminia...she actually hunted down a roach which took her 5 min - was awesome to watch! So agile and quick..insane!
P1030076.JPG

And here's "Asteria", ~2.5" E. murinus (and I'm 99% sure it's a female now, could get a glance at her epigastric furrow last night since she sat on the side for a moment! YAY!)
P1030082.JPG

It's interesting that she comes out at night fully and wanders the cage. She's usually at the mound of her burrow, but occasionally wanders around quite a bit all throughout the cage :D
P1030083.JPG

Oh and in case I forgot to mention: My H. villosella that had the sac ate it. Again, pretty sure it was a dud anyways ;)

Awesome shots of your P. cam Jan! :D
There's only a few of them that I personally like, most are kinda "ehh" in my opinion. But thanks, Michael ;)

E. murinus are always a beauty! :)
Sure are!

Your E. murinus is just the cutest! I need to get one my self!
Yep, she's a sweetie so far!

Some pics...

"Iolanthe", Avicularia purpurea, ~3.5" female - gotta love their coloration!
P1030091.JPG

"Phaedra", Psalmopoeus irminia, 5"+ female - still calmer than "Firali" - she came out and to the front of her enclosure while I was in the room doing housework and humming, lol :D
P1030101.JPG

"Medeia", Acanthoscurria geniculata, ~5" female - this little brat is now a big brat, little monster always tries to bite me when I have to refill her waterdish, do tank maintenance or whatnot. "Tongs? No problem! I can CLIMB!" :D
P1030105.JPG

"Medeia", Acanthoscurria geniculata, ~5" female - she sprinted to the side of her enclosure when I entered the room (door is basically right of her from that perspective) - greedy and/or annoyed again. Oh well, I'm used to it, hehe!
P1030107.JPG

"Moriko", Psalmopoeus cambridgei, 6"+ female - only shot I could get (bad one) but she's not coming out really after her last molt now. On this one she grabbed a grasshopper that walked OVER her hideout. How -dare- it, right? :D

Chilobrachys fimbriatus showed up!

It's the lighting, but yes - they are striped actually ;)

I was finally able to get some shots of one of my C. fimbriatus slings. Awesome!

This is "Ares", 2" suspect male (these show pretty well why their common name is "Indian Violet" - check the femurs!)

Thanks Jan! I always thought they were more plain colored...
Glad to see that your fimbriatus grows well :) can i ask you why do suspect it to be a male?

Hi storm76, love all your T collection/enclosures and very good pics.
Thanks, Mark! Still trying to improve on the pictures ;)

Thanks Jan! I always thought they were more plain colored...

Just because the couple I have are sacmates and that one is -so far- growing faster. I could be dead wrong as it's not reliable, but for now I'll just suspect it. ;)

"Keeva", freshly (today) molted A. amazonica - measures 2.5-2.75" now....

That A. purpurea has came on nicely, always nice to see them growing up. :)
Indeed, they did Chris! What's very interesting is the totally different temperament my triplets have. The sexed female is quite skittish, hides from light quickly and is overall secretive. The sexed male is very secretive and I rarely see him out at all while the last (still unsexed one due to a destroyed last molt) is actually very defensive and behaves like a Psalmo! :D

Talking about defensive...

"Jewel", Homoeomma sp. "blue", ~3,5" female - took a pic while watering her...
P1030150.JPG

"Jewel", Homoeomma sp. "blue", ~3,5" female - ...and this is what I got right after. Someone was a bit cranky there...
P1030151.JPG

"Neelam", Homoeomma sp. "blue", ~4.25" male - showing me this after removing the lid of the enclosure. Further "inspection" revealed: Premolt! Hopefully, it's not his ultimate one...
P1030157.JPG

"Adena", Brachypelma smithi, ~4,5" female - out for once as she went mostly into hiding over the last couple months
P1030152.JPG

"Kenno", Brachypelma boehmei, ~2.5" male - more skittish than defensive for once, usually he attacks the tongs / waterstream, lol :D

"Phaedra" and "Aurora" out ;)

fantastic pics as usual, how old is the b. smithi?
She was my first together with my P. irminia "Phaedra" and I got her as an approx 2,5" specimen February 2012 - she's currently ~4,5" old :D

"Adena", Brachypelma smithi, ~4,5" female - she's not a hairkicker at all really, just one reason why I really adore her!
P1030153.JPG

"Phaedra", Psalmopoeus irminia, 5"+ female - out after a looong time of absence and doing well. She was checking on her whole cage and went into hiding after 20 min ;)
P1030166.JPG

"Phaedra", Psalmopoeus irminia, 5"+ female - close-up - it was great that she came out and I could watch her for the time, she's just stunningly beautiful and calm! Awesome!
P1030165.JPG

"Aurora", Avicularia minatrix, ~2.5" female - out for once, as she is as reclusive as my Psalmos. Usually, I only see a number of legs sticking out of the webbing, that's it! :D

I agree with Michael, awesome photos! I especially like your P. irminia and A. minatrix. (My minatrix is also reclusive, I don't think they know they're Avics. ;) )
