New vids and pictures

Whatever you're doing your photos just keep getting better Jan! :D

Magnificent cambridgei, much nicer than mine! And I love the geroldi. :)
Thanks, Michael! Just putting the advice I got on here from you and the others to use - sometimes I -do- succeed! :D
Moriko is somewhat weird lately, not really hungry after her last molt, not out at all anymore - guess she realized she's a true Psalmo and as such is usually hidden :D

I agree with Michael, awesome photos! I especially like your P. irminia and A. minatrix. (My minatrix is also reclusive, I don't think they know they're Avics. ;) )
Thank you! Really appreciate the comments - I'm open to critizism and always looking to improve! Phaedra is a doll - compared to every other P. irminia that I've seen or heard of so far - I really have a soft spot for that girl ;)
I think my minatrix has secretely talked to my Psalmos and learned from them to stay hidden, hehe :D

Here's a number of new videos on some molts I had (one of my E. sp. "red" finally molted - size gain? Negligible, haha! :D)

Here's another vid showing the heartbeat of my A. versi female "Sylva"

And here's the post-molt look at "Neelam", my Homoeomma sp. "blue" male - 5"+ - insane how much he grew that last molt!

Great pics, Jan! Phaedra and Morika are stunning! Did Neelam mature?
What is it with A. genics? My girl uproots her plants and puts them in the water bowl, too! I've started just leaving them there. :)

He's not yet mature, no. As for the genics - at least over here they're well known for having their own mind and loving to redecorate their enclosures. Sadly, a lot of people keep them bone-dry with a waterdish, which IMO is wrong considering their natural habitat is quite moist and close to a dam.

Hey Jan!
that heartbeat video is stunning! and gratz for the new molts!
Thanks! Glad you liked it despite my hand holding the camera being shaky :D

Wow that avic is just gorgeous.
100% agree ;)

Had a number of new molts over the last few days, another A. geroldi sling molted and most noteably: My female Homoeomma sp. "blue" molted...

"Jewel", Homoeomma sp. "blue" female, looks to be around 4"+ after that molt

Hey Jan, your Ares is magnificent, amazing appearance already at 2"! :D

Man I wish I could find an amazonica ... they seem to have disappeared lately. Such a shame about Brett's babies!

They gained those colors at around 1.5" already, I'm kinda surprised it develops that soon already, too. But I'm not complaining :D
Quite frankly, I think I'm gonna start counting my amazonicas towards the "slowest growing, somewhat feisty Avics" by now - they're both somewhat defensive and grow excessively slow compared with the other Avics I raise....hope you'll find some, Michael!

Thanks! Yep, both of them are doing well and grow very fast actually. So far, they still prefer to run to cover instead of threatposing, although that happens ocasionally too :D

Homoeomma sp. "blue" - female molt - very obviously seen with the naked eye already :D

Poecilotheria subfusca "lowland" + Psalmopoeus langenbucheri

Wow, fantastic pic Jan!!! :D
Thanks, but what's fantastic about that one really? :D

Anyways, I was told by many that Poecis are - for the most part - easier to deal with than Psalmopoeus spp. - so far, I'd have to agree! Surprisingly, I haven't gotten any really defensive behavior from my subfusca *knocks on wood*. However, while redoing the enclosure today, I'm sure this is a boy according to the ventral and the fact that I couldn't find any spermathecae on the last molt. Admittedly, it was badly munched up, but usually I'm still able to find the female parts if there are any - in this case the name "Artemis" was obviously the right call...

Some pics of the little guy (he's now at around ~3" already...)

"Artemis", Poecilotheria subfusca "lowland", ~3" male - and this happens if the T decides to move toward the cam when you actually just click...*sigh* :D

Also redid the enclosure of my Psalmopoeus langenbucheri sling, since the little guy turned over his waterdish and soaked the substrate completely - causing it to become a swamp and him contracting mites! Yuck!
So I set the little one up anew aswell with fresh substrate and a new piece of corkbark. This time, I'll wait till he has established his home before I put the waterdish back in - I'm guessing incorporating it into his last home was part of the problem :D

Looks like your H. blues have their adult coloration. Mine should be with their upcoming molt. I'll sort of miss the juvenile colors. :-/

Thanks, man! I only get those that appeal to me :D

Yep, very much so, Joyce! I love the adult coloration, that blueish hue of the abdomen is just amazing, it's a mix between black / blue really with a hint of red due to the hairs...stunning. The only problem is, that I find it hard to capture their true coloration on pictures. I need to try to get some better ones once the female has hardened completely. Which will be most likely interesting considering how skittish my couple is... :D

Didn't upload these so far and since I saw the pics on n0rmal's picthread, though I might want to ;)

Couldn't capture her blue femurs at all this time sadly. Not to mention she is due for a molt and I'm suspecting is in early premolt probably...

Rehoused my A. diversipes couple into slightly bigger enclosures for raising now. Both of them jumped into the new ones :D. Took the opportunity to take a few pics, too.

Gemma is gorgeous! (Patiently waiting on my two to molt...) The pics of A. diversipes are getting you elevated to Enabler status. LOL
