Thank you, Sir! As mentioned before, seemingly they change to full adult coloration around 9th instarAwesome pics! Can't wait for my little blueberry to become that multi-colored fluffball!
Thank you, M'am!All these shiny colors remind me of tinsel.
Great photos!
LOL - my neighbors are aware of my hobby, none of them is too happy about it, but neither is anyone scared. They just accept itCongratulations! Obviously it was the male H. villosella "Playboy" of the neighbours![]()
LOL - yeah, probably. Last time they visited on my birthday (Dec. 29th) and watched me feeding them. Actually had one of my Euathlus sp. "red" trying to nom on me - was hilarious! That was very sweet of them
it's done: when they will grow up they are destined to be addicted to Ts
Thanks! Personally, I like to further the hobby and dispell mythsLove those pics. Glad to see there's a bright future in German hobby!![]()

Thank you, appreciated! Yep, I fully agree to the murinus. Sadly, I couldn't retrieve the last molt - the T "added" it into the wall of its burrowGreat photos/collection Jan! Nice of your murinus to give you a viewing window.
That's a good looking P. subfusca there. The only way to be sure of the sex though is to take some ventral pics.Just for clarification: If the folio stripe lacks the black - it's probably a female, right? Since it's quite pronounced and in addition looks ventrally like a male so far...you get the idea. Any info on that would help me - not 100% sure about his. Thanks - just can't seem to get this right ever![]()

Thanks! Those A. geroldi obviously love to run and freak out - way worse than any of the other 7 Avic species I've raised so far..Good looking slings and subfusca!
No chance, I tried getting him/her out of there, but only receive some slaps since the T wants to stay in the corkbark tube. I respect that wish and leave it alone. Frankly, I can wait until the next molt - not in a hurry. Either way it's a beautiful specimen and in case it does turn out male, I already have someone interestedI agree with Jason,
If ever possible, please get some pics of it ventrally.. that vid makes it too hard to tell. The camera doesnt allow us to see through the plastic and droplets too well. Maybe lure it into a clear plastic catch cup for a photo session.
If it IS a female id imagine the stripe wont start changing until around 4+" or so... that has been the case with Poeci Ive owned/own at least.
Also, folio stripes HAVE fooled people before (as im sure you know) so just wait for its next molt. Id imagine that the t is already large enough to clearly see spermatheca/the lack of at this point. Good luck bro
