That Homoeomma sp. is absolutely gorgeous :worship:

and gratz for the 3 little beauties
Yeah, he looks great! And I'm really happy about those E. pulcherrimaklaasi slings! Now let's see how slow THOSE grow :)

Love how that male seems to glow.
Probably because the pics are like 16+ hrs post-molt, though. I'll update on him once he hardened completely ;)

Sooo...my A. geniculata gave me a HUGE scare today morning. Woke up, went over to her cage in order to see if she molted and found her on her back, preparing to molt...WITH THE DAMN HYDROMETER HAVING FALLEN ONTO HER!
Since I wasn't sure HOW long that thing was laying on her, I reacted instantly and carefully got it off her (and completely OUT !!!), put her cage into a dark spot and left her alone! Now, I'm extremely glad that she molted fine without incident afterwards! This whole thing just goes to show just HOW dangerous those things can be become even! My guess is, that while turning onto her back, she must have losened that thing so it fell onto her.

Anyways, here she is, freshly molted...size before molt 4"...

She's looking good. Glad that things went well after that little scare!
You bet! That was the worst scare I got so far regarding my T's...

Hi :)

Despite the little adventure during the molt she has indeed survived visibly good. Looks damn good from the animal. Congratulation!
Yeah, I'm -really- relieved she made it through fine!

My most attractive model, "Phaedra", 5" P. irminia adult female ;)

Just rehoused my Ephebopus murinus into a bigger enclosure. Once again, totally stubborn! She absolutely refuses to move even an inch - no threats, no slapping, hair-kicking or biting whatsoever. I'm starting to think this one might be even handleable...though I won't tempt fate (E. murinus bites are supposedly quite painful from what I heard) :D

In the new enclosure ontop of the premade burrow (she took to it already and vanished inside)

Thank you, mlflorea! I'm glad if you find a T that you like a lot by looking through my pictures. Avicularia minatrix are cute little things, although I have to mention that the little girl I have here is quite skittish and sometimes a little defensive. Nothing bad though! She's just very fast, that's it! I'll have to rehouse her today or tomorrow into her final enclosure. Will post up pictures and transfer video then ;)

Uhm..wow? Thanks, man! :worship: If it wasn't for the damn "pond" between our countries, I'd probably pay a visit to some of you guys actually for right that! :D Cheers!

Love that E murinus.
Yep, he/she (suspecting a female there) is looking awesome. NO temper so far at all. Just stubborn like hell...:D

Some pics to update on a couple T's here...

Homoeomma sp. "blue", male. This one is SO skittish...oh boy! And easily scared...
P1020706.JPG

Did I mention "easily scared" already? ;)
P1020708.JPG

At last...20 min later. By the way: This one is FAST - geez!
P1020709.JPG

Acanthoscurria geniculata, female. She's roughly 5" now after that molt and already kicks hair again ;) She looks really stocky now...
P1020711.JPG

Probably going to be back to her old self within the next week or so ;) She's alright - no post-molt problems so far!
P1020713.JPG

EDIT: I'm also getting a couple Avicularia geroldi slings once the temps over here go up some again. ;)

I remember looking through this thread when I first signed up and I was astonished by how gorgeous and well taken care of your Tarantulas are, and after seeing most of what I missed while away, that hasn't changed in a bit. Your collection is literally too magnificent to articulate.

Keep the pics/updates rollin!

PS - there are quite a few Ts here now on my list xD thanks!

Thank you and glad you like them. Always nice to hear that your own pictures influenced others to get such a T for themself ;)

Alright, rehoused my A. minatrix AF today into a more spacey enclosure (0.8 ltr before, now 2.0 ltr) until such time where I'm getting a glass enclosure. She should be fine in this for a good while considering she won't really grow any bigger (currently ~2.25 - 2.5"). Attached, the transfer vid and some pictures. Reason I didn't use my hand is simply that she's one of those that you can't get OFF you once she actually climbs onto you. She's all over you in a matter of seconds (quite nervous) and likes to "base jump" - didn't want the transfer to take 30+ minutes just for that ;)

Note: I tend to spray the walls of enclosures into which I transfer arboreals, since I've noticed that most don't like to climb those and hence preventing them from going in and instantly out again. Makes rehousing a lot easier! The waterdish will be the only source of water (except feeders) for her in the future hence.

Your P. pulcher is beautiful! I love how dark its opisthosoma is. Haha. I know how you feel. The last time my versicolor molted, it was hanging sideways in its web right over a hole! Crossing my fingers the whole time that it wouldn't fall through the hole in the web.

Thanks! Yeah, I was totally surprised by that....:D

Took the opportunity to take some pictures while feeding my A. diversipes slings ;) And I think I found a way to capture their insane colors eventually!

P. cambridgei, "Moriko", adult female ~5.5" - getting mad while I was wakling by! (This girl is nuts, I tell ya...)
