Thanks! She's a looker and fully aware of it (based on the time she's out showing herself :D).

Thank you - she's in need of a molt, though. ;)

Love that minatrix. What a gorgeous T!
And absolute cuteness, yeah :D

I'll try get a vent shot tomorrow, but I just rehoused her into a more appropriate enclosure for now (until I get the final one next week). I'm not a pro at ventral sexing, but I'm kinda sure about this one somehow ;)

Just finished with the rehousing of some more T's, but the bloody video turned out to be too dark again! Dang it...it's kinda annoying as it was quite funny! ;) You're probably right, Chad, that little versicolor tried to actually bite me, lol :D Was easy to transfer her though - she just turned around and tried to when she already WAS in the new enclosure :D. Tappie and purpurea couldn't have been easier either...I don't know why people have so many problems with that stuff, lol. Whenever I'd have to do that with my P. cam girl again...I'll try reminding myself of that sentence I wrote there ;)

Either way, some pictures and a little vid with some (kinda dark still) footage.

Once it's uploaded, the vid:

A. minatrix (put her into a slightly bigger enclosure for now until I get the right one next week:

And the new enclosure I just finished decorating, which will most likely go to one of my Avics (possibly the A. azuraklaasi even - not sure about it yet)

Ventral shots

So, since Chad asked for it here's a ventral shot of that A. minatrix and I'm positive that it's a female now :D
P1020598.JPG

Some more...suspect female A. versicolor
P1020600.JPG

A very female E. pulchrrimaklaasi (E. sp. "blue")
P1020602.JPG

And a shot of "Phaedra" being out and about in her new enclosure. She's out every evening - beautiful 5" girl... ;)

Yep the A. minatrix is a girl.

P.S. How is a spider very female? Does she have extra spermathecae? {D

Thanks, yeah I love this species for their color and usually typical Avic temper. They can be -really- quick though if they want. None of mine is out during the day, this pic was taken last night.

Figured I could do some pictures as updates on some T's... ;)

P1020630.JPG

Avicularia versicolor, "Sylva", ~2.25" unsexed, sitting in a better position for a pic, you can actually see the urticating bristles on this shot

Acanthoscurria geniculata, "Medeia", ~4.25" female - looking grumpy as usual, she certainly is a hair-flicking little monster!
P1020614.JPG

Euathlus pulcherrimaklaasi (sp. "blue"), "Gemma", 4.5" female, most beautiful terrestrial in my opinion...

Avicularia minatrix, ~2.5" female, no name so far - in "scared mood". She looks fine, but she obviously needs some time to adjust to her new home. I've since decorated it some in hopes it'll encourage her to start webbing some ;)
P1020584.JPG

That's it for now. Hope you enjoy ;)

Adorable! Lovely shots of the rest too, especially the P. cambridgei. Great you managed to get a few shots in; scary stuff.
