Yeah, sorry. Whenever I make a new one, I'll cut it down to a NORMAL size again.43 Minutes?!?! jeebus...*keeps watching*
Thanks, although I'm not satisfied with that shot I do like it. It's hard to capture it visible on picture I find. Then again, I was doing maintenance mainly and didn't expect her to go on a stroll really to start withMy nhandu leaves a trail of silk absolutely everywhere she goes. She never puts those spineretts away! That was a good shot of it though, spider web is hard to photograph clearly for sure.
I love my 2 Ladies here, too. They're just gorgeous in coloration and contrast! Speaking of which, my now adult female "Pheadra" finally decided to show up again (haven't seen in her like 2 months):I love your Irmina. I probably have said that before, but it deserves to be said twice.
Thanks! Will be checking out the vid. later tonight, but had to say I love that Irminia. I just got another female that I will post in a few days with a few other T's. Keep the good pics coming.
Yes, they showed loosing sling colors at 7th instar, with only a hint of the white stripes left on there abdomens. Here's the molting dates for comparison:One of my A. purpurea slings is 6/7i. And he is still tiny, like 1-1.25" Still showing sling coloration(That grey tiger stripe look)
If I remember correctly, you said you saw adult coloration at 7/8i? What size were they?
Also when did you get your A. purpurea's and what instar were they when you got them?
Nice pictures by the way!
Yep, obviouslyGood deal, definitely got lucky.
Nice pics and collection! I got my A. purpurea sling April 2011 at 2nd instar (if my memory serves me right) its currently a little over 2", very slow growing, I think Chad said mine has it's adult colors already, but I'm not sure, I will check tonight, I haven't got a good look at it since it recently molted. Those purps are looking GREAT Jan.I just had a few hit full adult coloration as well and they are just stunning.
Thanks, Brett! I just LOVE their colors! One of the most beautiful Avics out there - though A. diversipes are stunning, too! Those purps are looking GREAT Jan.I just had a few hit full adult coloration as well and they are just stunning.
Thanks, man! They grow pretty quickly actually, IMO. I bought mine as 3rd instar on April 3rd, 2012 and they're already 2"+ and 7th to 8th instar without power-feeding or keeping them on elevated temps. WAY faster growing than A. amazonica...+ 1 on the purps looking great!! I so can't wait mine is still tiny![]()
Thank you! I consider them rather fast growing as mentioned above, actually.Nice pics and collection! I must of misunderstood Chad, My purpurea that I have owned for 1 and a half years, does not have it's mature colors. Still sportin the black and grey tiger rump.
