SF Bay Area Tarantula Society meeting -September 15th

Hi all,

Well, let's start making plans for your calendars for another fantastic SFBATS meeting in September. We have confirmation for Saturday,Sept 15th 11-2pm Ken said that will be a good date for us to meet. Let me know if interested in attending and your thoughts on what you want to see happen at OUR meetings .
The location will be the same ,Ken is gracefully hosting this meeting again at his place(Concord).
We have had a few inquiries from new people and I expect our meeting to grow.Around 20 people came last time and we have some cool stuff to show you too,possible New t-shirts,website and info on our hunt/hike in October.
Who knows I might get crazy again and give away some more tarantulas or something else. Matt, I owe you a T book,I think.
Last time we had a great time,this time should be a blast,too!!! We will be having a BBQ.Food requests to follow.

Keaton(Okitasoshi), can you help with making a Sept.meeting flyer for us to distribute to our local pet shops? Make a flyer and send us a file so we can copy and distribute.We still need to confirm the date before finishing the flyer.
I'll work on organizing the meeting and coordinating what everyone else is doing.If you need help please ask me and I find someone to assist you .
Also, let me know if I missed anything.

Yeah, I can make a flyer, I don't have fancy publisher or anything atm, I'd need to dig up an old Microsoft office disc and install it, and if I can't find it and worst comes to worst I'll use a friends computer or something, unless Paint is ok...although it's a little ghetto but it gets the job done when done nicely.

If you can design one with the Sept.15th date and time.Have them RSVP to my email for address/confirmation . fredmac55@hotmail.com Then send us a file so we can copy and distribute to local pet shops etc. Send a copy to John,Ken,Rachel and myself.You can distribute to your local Sac. area which will help us get the meeting out to a good portion of Ca Bay area.Is there someone in the San Jose and Sunnyvale area that would like to help us with getting out the flyers?
I think that we need them out and posted by August 25th.

Thanks Rachel for getting the website up and running for us.It looks like we've become official.I'm looking forward for more things to be added to it.

I am conversing with my T shirt man in KTM. I will be ordering shirts with the P subfusca design (note to Scott and Deb: board spell checker should not identify latin names as misspellings, um 'scuse me, that's mispelings!) .
The shirt went over well in San Antonio.

Yess. yess, Fred! My T book! As I failed in my intents of NOT buying anything in Sad Antonio I should have oodles of baby Hadrurus by then.


Also, I have on order 1 metric ton of oothecium for ordnance manufacture.

ok this is a basic rough draft, I wanted to get points across about what's going on and where they can find more information on the meeting.

the blank spot on the right can be used to insert your own Tarantula picture, and the punch & Pie at the bottom is to attract more people.

Ideas are much appreciated and I'll incorporate anything you guys think I should mention in there.
