New Invertebrate Club in Southern California!

So, so far how many people are gathering for fisrt meeting? I would love to have some rough numbers.

I'd estimate anywhere from five to twelve people, and probably more at the next meeting (since not all pre-members live within a reasonable drive of Rancho Cucamonga). We do have about seventeen interested in the club, and I have just about got the club poster ready to send out to everyone.
Everybody who is going or is probably going to the meeting say "I" please! (Ha ha).

I have almost got a guest speaker, I am going to see when I can reserve the space at IHOP, and we have got about 16-17 people interested in the club. The club poster will be coming out soon, so let's keep it going!

I will probably be there.. Got some family stuff going on (mother-in-law staying w/ us for an extended period) so if she needs something, I might not be able to make it. I'll definitely try, though!

@chanda, I know what that's like. Hopefully you can make it, but if not, no worries!

There are so many people interested in the club it's hard to keep track, but that is a good problem to have ), who is coming to the meeting? I just want to know so that I can know how many tables to reserve at IHOP.

@Jacobospider5, you can PM me your email, and I can then add you to the email list, send you an invitation to our Google Group, and start tagging you in announcement messages. We will talk more about membership at the first meeting. We would definitely like to have you join us!

@NYAN (I know this won't work), no problem, we will definitely miss you though.

In regards to the tagging problem, perhaps you should try watching this thread? Also, are you getting the emails I am sending out, as well as the Google Group messages? I am putting out all important announcements via Google Groups as well as Arachnoboards.

I would like this club to meet monthly, so the next meeting will most likely be in late March, and it will be closer to LA, as requested by @BoyFromLA and yourself. I am still going over my calendar to determine what will work for me and the rest of the club the best.

That sounds good. I have a friend nearby who is interested but isn’t able to travel far like me.

While I am still in the area I would be open to hosting an outdoor meeting type event. I know of some nice hiking areas (no collecting though).

Not really. That’s around 1.5-2 hours away from me, not including traffic.
