Congratulations on your female! That's great news ! Toes and all!

The loveliest toes in the spider room, however, were (nearly) out on a hunt last night.

Meanwhile, C. versicolor has, after a prolonged renovation, apparently built a super cozy loft.

At least this time it won't be a stealth molt. He's got a side window AND a skylight.

Good thing I can give him water via the vent holes... That way he can keep his loft until he molts.
That's more or less what my A. purpurea did, except it's across the back under the bark, AND she webbed up the walls so hard you almost can't see in. Well, fine then, princess. You'll get fed when you come out and I can see that you aren't too chonk already! (Actually I still desperately need to rehouse her into her adult enclosure, I just haven't had the time to set it up yet.)right across the front of his viv but on the floor I have told him he is arboreal but he said no
I just set itsy up in his big boy viv a few weeks go took him ages to settle n he still settled on the floor some spiders are just sillyThat's more or less what my A. purpurea did, except it's across the back under the bark, AND she webbed up the walls so hard you almost can't see in. Wow she does like to web my Psalmopoeus pulcher does that too I put a back board on the outside of her viv when I moved her into her adult viv a few months ago, it actually helped. She still webbed but because the board was dark on the back she didn't bother webbing the glass much just to attach her web so I have a window through all of her web tunnels now, maybe try it when you move your girl ? My board is held on with some velcro so I can remove it to check on Puddin it's literally just a bit of cardboard I cut to size and painted , I have even used the same trick with black card and blutack on smaller vivs so you can literally do it on any budgetSpot the Avic!

Same girl is also queen of webbing onto the lid though so... Can't win either way lol.
She definitely has since she moved up from the deli cup!Wow she does like to web
I wouldn't trust any of my arboreal with a front opening viv, probably just end up wearing one of them knowing my luckShe definitely has since she moved up from the deli cup!

The new enclosure I have for her has a sliding front opening, and it's a little funny dimensions but should be ok. I think it's like 7x10x14 or something...I can try the cardboard trick or even giving her a spot closer to the wall might help in a pinch. I think also more leaf cover up top when I don't have to mess with a top-opening enclosure will help. She was still a sling when she moved into the current enclosure, and I didn't put as much cover in as I could've because I wanted to be able to monitor feeders. That part has been pretty helpful.
