Thanks guys.
With the sudden influx of sell threads (lookin' at you, Levi{D) and the show looming overhead, it's getting hard not to consider getting more spiders.
I say yes yes, but the wallet says no no!

Glad to see the bees are settling in. :D

I just had another male mature out so there should be lots of pairing in the next little bit.

Sweet.
It's interesting watching them switch places, web in together, and hunt. One crawled out when I dumped a bunch of feeders in and got a large majority of them by hanging out in a corner. Next morning I see two others gathered there, seemingly eating what he had caught. They ended up building a big tube web there, but one wandered off.
I can see the appeal in communals, they're always doign something it seems!

Anyway, here's shots of my N. chromatus digging. Everyone seems to be digging lately.

So has my Monocentropus balfouri female. She has dug more in the last week than she has in the entire time I've had her. Hmmm.

Yeah... must be the weather. I hope you're right about the hot weather. I miss the beach!

Here's some more shots of their handiwork.

Male B. smithi is digging out a corner...

Avic is webbing (the door!:wall:)...

And my P. murinis, who was showing for the longest time, has finally decided to drop her dud sac.

Molts, molts everywhere!
With the time of year, the past month was packed full of molts!

B. smithi, all nice and molted.

X. immanis, chewing on a fresh molt. She's still missing that left spinneret; She's a FREAK.

Her naughty bits seem ok though.

P. cancerides molted too, and what a huge difference! She's nearly as big as my Brachypelmas!

Got her molt before she could chew it for once, but couldn't get a decent shot of the spermathecae:wall:

My teeny B. emilia sling molted too, it's now about 1.2"

Sexed the molt with my $10 night market pocket scope with Macgyver'd light and stage... and it's most definitely female. I was lucky with this one! In a couple more years, she could be a whole 3"!!:D

C. fimbriatus molted too, she's getting quite large, and is gonna need a rehouse soon. This is about the most I see of her too.

Not pictured molts: Nearly all of the Cyriocosmus, constantly. Some of them are as big as my emilia now!
Also the versis have all molted. No SADS for them, they's all HAPPYS. All the Holothele BEEEEES have molted too, but they're almost never out for some pics.

Next in the molting queue, A. avicularia, Who's still as stubborn as ever.
Open door, stretch/break tube web, close door, repair, repeat every two weeks.

And, still not in premolt or anything, My Acanthogonatus pissi/francki/i dunno lol

Thanks man! They'll bring 'em up soon enough!

Here's some of the Holothele sp. Colombia's burrows:

They've all molted too!

And some of the actual spiders coming out during feeding time

Some pics of feeding time

Pulled the smithi molt, pretty good condition despite it being chewed.

Shot of her spermathecae and Uterus externus

And a pic of my newest, an Acanthogonatus sp. "black" I got from Crysta.
Cute 'lil guy, this one.

Shes such a fatty. Has she dug any tunnels yet? hehe
Nope not yet. I haven't even rehoused her yet, been busy lately
She's webbed a bit, eaten a couple of times, and otherwise good. I hope she becomes a digger!

Oh I dug a starter hole, half a pinky length, and she went from there. But you gotta make sure the hole is near her or she wont find it. lol

Gonna do it today. Kinda makes me feel bad because she's finally started webbing around. Ah well.:D

Hey, I got them from a LPS that used to carry them. Unfortunately, they've stopped! I have, however, just placed an order at http://www.corkstore.com/ earlier this week for some half tubes (look under specialities), So I guess I'll find out if they're good or not! You might wanna give 'em a try.

More pics of feeding time:

X. immanis

G. rosea RCF

P. cancerides

B. emilia

C. fimbriatus, waiting for crickets, and needing a rehouse pretty soon!

Her patience is rewarded!

MM C. cyaneopubescens. Three months later, and only 1/8th eaten! Not even sure he's gotten any inserts, but lord nows he's had many chances! Female's been more than kind, IMO.

And, the new girl. I've finally gotten a G. pulchripes!
She's about 3.5" of awesome!
