my pulchra moulted a few weeks ago, and had her rump up in the air yesterday. she had refused food before then, but when i threw that roach in, she snagged it. she's eaten 3 in the last 2 days.

try offering food. she may be on the prowl.

Gorgeous pulchra. How big is she? Mine is around 4", yours looks a little plumper than her. I love the gold sheen on her carapace. These spiders are awesome, we should start a club

She's probably 4.5" and not a million miles away from her next molt. I suspect that the gold sheen is due to the camera flash. She is absolutely jet black in the reality of pure daylight. Thanks!

I don't know if it's a she or he (yet, I have to wait until the molt). It's about 3,5'' (she/he still has to grow )

Based on the size of it's abdomen it flipped the bird, deep fried it, and ate it .
