Changed the substrate today, so it was photo opportunity time!

emilia's are supposed to be more nervous and prone to hair kicking, but this little guy was calm as can be. Didn't kick up a single hair.

Here he is in the juicer I kept him in while I got rid of his smelly (and slightly moldy) green moss for some fresh peat.

Slightly blurry pic of him in his new house. I'm sure he'll shut himself in when he finds his hide again and I won't see him for another three weeks :( Nice knowing you!

I still have three crickets left from over a week ago when I bought five at the store. They've molted and are pretty big now... got wings and everything. Those are still okay to feed him, right? I think he's in a pre-molt fast anyway.

Are you sure that is a B. emilia? It should be showing the black triangle by now, mine is a couple molts behind yours and the triangle is already well defined. Also the red on the legs doesn't look the same. The knees should be black not red.

I was actually thinking that myself earlier. That's what it was labled at the pet shop (redleg), but the more I look at it the more I think it might be a B. boehmei, but I'm not sure. You can see a light triangle though. :?

Pet store, on a related note, is why his butt is so bald (and also, I'm told, the real reason he didn't flick hairs; I thought they flicked the bigger ones, oops). All the t's were in tiny little dishes stacked up in a big fishtank with a bunch of other animals (snakes and lizards) and no hides. Even the poor arboreals.

Yeah B. boehmei was my guess as well, but you'll have to wait until it is bigger to know for sure I guess.
Here is a pic of my emilia, as you can see it is smaller than yours, but does not look the same.

Well my baby B.emilia was a male and matured yesterday :( But on a good note he is going to Johnny (Creepy Exotics) next week to be bred with 3 lovely females :D . So I thought I would try to take some nice pics of him.

How big is he? I got a 2.75 incher unsexed about to molt and I have been getting nothing but males on the past several molts in my collection. Just wondering what to expect, Thanks

Sorry about the bad pic of my Emilia but my camera (or me) just sucks when its photo time! My little Emilia is just thumb nail size but what a cuty.
The other pics are of my tanks, i would like to know if they are ok or if i can enhance them in any way. Thanks for looking. Jay.
