2 New Pics - Avic avic

Took our Avic avic out for the first time for some photos. Fast and docile, but didn't care too much about being held. (Had to re-arrange the tank a little too.)

Nice pic! I think the metallica's are one of the prettiest Avics there are.

I'm trying to get people to define "sweet" with their Avics. Does it interact with you when you do things in the cage? Mine does whatever it can to keep the distance between us at its maximum. I guess I'm just jealous of those that have "sweet" instead of "shy". :(

The "Sweet" in Avics...

This female Metallica doesn't budge when I clean her cage by hand. Nothing.
This sweetie lets me pick her up and play with her. The other day I got her out and put her on my shoulder. Then went out to get the mail. Too bad no one was around at the time to behold the spectacle. :D {D

Avicularia huriana... don't see many of these

Here is a little something that I am considering. It is a Avicularia huriana female about 3 1/2". I have a friend who has her but I am not sure what to offer him for her.

Figured while I was taking pics...I'd show you guys!

Defiantley not a Avicularia bicegoi.

The Avicularia bicegoi have very bright carribean blue highlight and pink hairs on the rump.

The Avicularia aurantiaca are goldish with dark hues. They have yellow bands which are not present on the Avicularia bicegoi

The yellow bands are there at the joints of the leg segements such on this T which have the characteristics of the Avicularia aurantiaca.

The Avicularia aurantiaca is commonly sold under the species names of A. juruensis and A. magdalenae.
