This is the store bought seemanni I rescued the other month. She fattened up and is a pure joy. :)

Here's one you don't see very often. I bought her along with a mature male back in May of 1999. The male was mature and could fit on a silver dollar. I gave him to Tom Prentice. She is fully mature and under 2 inches. Both were collected near Portal, AZ. She just molted. John
What species is it?

Sure, I'm pretty confident that it's an Aphonopelma semani, 'true zebra'.

It appears to have rust-colored spinnerettes, and if so, it's an Aphonopelma seemani for sure.

I thought this was a "true zebra"??? ;) Anyway, yeah, I'd agree that you've got an A. seemanni.

Shes purty

Nice child you got there! Very healthy lookin and pretty to boot. I have one that I recently was given at a pet shop since they didnt know what she was and didn't seel Ts. I was told shes a brown A. Seemani by someone on these threads but I cannot confirm that with just one opinion and Ive never seen a light brown seemani myself. Is browned out semmanis possible or common? Maybe someone will have a good idea in comparison to this one... She has the rusty spinnerets but looks nothing like a typical A. Seemani. Shes about 4 inches long body length.

Hmm

Those pictures were post molt after it had hardened. This is what it looked like pre molt. It looked like this for several months. Then got the typical darkening of the abdomen and turned into the spider above.
