I've purchased so many T's from Joe that I've lost count, and I've written quite a few reviews for him. If you have any questions about how I feel about Joe and the kind of person/resource/partner he is, just scroll down and you'll see that I think he's the best...
I wanted to take a minute to recognize Joe for his excellent packaging and the care that he takes with each shipment. The order that I received from Joe last week was unfortunately delayed by FedEx (supposedly due to weather, but who knows). The weather is not exactly warm, so any extended time in transit would be worrisome if this shipment had come from any other vendor. It came from Joe, though, so I was confident that the slings would be fine with an extra day or even 2 in transit, and I was right - upon receiving the package and unpacking, each and every one of the slings was alive, alert, and healthy. One had even molted in the shipping vial and was no worse for the wear!
I appreciate Joe so much, and will continue to get the majority of my T's from him for as long as I'm able to. I'm also happy to answer any questions, so feel free to DM me if I can be of any help! Thanks Joe!
What can I say about Joe that I haven't said already, or that all these other very satisfied customers haven't said? It's quite obvious from the almost 500 positive reviews posted for Joe that he's the best in the business and has been for a long time.
I can say that even though I'm nobody special, Joe always makes me feel like I'm the most important person he's dealing with whenever I get in touch with him. He's likely making deals with and taking orders from dozens of other hobbyists at any given time, yet he always responds to my messages quickly and cheerfully, and can get my order shipped the next day - and he's never made an error in any of my orders!
The other thing about Joe that I would like to point out which I think may be overlooked sometimes is just how impressive his inventory is. The variety and number of slings that Joe has available for sale at any given time is simply unparalleled. From the most common, well-established hobby staples to the very newest species available globally, Joe has them, and has them at fair prices.
I consider myself lucky to have a partner like Joe to lean on as I grow in this hobby. I look forward to many more years of fantastic dealings with Joe. As always, I'm happy to answer any specific questions that I can, so feel free to send me a message if you have any!
I have purchased slings from Joe twice now. Both times he responded and shipped promptly. If you ask about sizes he will send pics of the specimen next to a tape measure, a nice touch. Each time I received exactly what was promised, well packed and healthy. Communication and his availability are first rate. I will continue to buy from him in the near future.
Been buying Ts from Joe for many years. This time around I got a Ornithoctinae sp HoChi Minh, Ornithoctoninae sp Malthai and a P. Sabah. There are many reasons why I do business with Joe but here is what Ive experienced the most.
1. Healthy Ts
2. Solid Communication
3. Willingness to Teach
4. On time ie shipments, local pick up
5. For some reason hes always got the really rad Ts im looking for.
6. Just a good Dude!
I made another order with Joe for some rare specimens that I'd had my eye on for a little while. The transaction was smooth as ever - text Joe with my list, he confirms availability, I send him the money, and he sends the spiders. This time, though, Fedex decided they would hold my shipment in Memphis for an extra day. Joe messaged me at the first sign of a delay to let me know, and kept me updated the whole time the package was in transit. I ended up getting the shipment a day later than I was supposed to (no fault of Joe's), but Joe does such an incredible job of packing his orders and including heat/cool packs as needed, that the slings were all healthy and alert when I unpacked them, even though they'd been in transit for close to 48 hours. Just another of the many reasons that I continue to do business with Joe Rossi.
I'd be happy to answer any questions that anyone has about my experiences with Joe, so feel free to send me a message if I can help!
I cannot find the words to describe how great of an experience dealing with Joe is. You will worry for nothing, want for nothing, and be left with the feeling of utmost satisfaction.
If you're still considering obtaining your T from JoeRossi, stop hesitating and do it already.

Cons
LAG waived for home delivery
Was an absolute pleasure doing business with Mr. Rossi. I'd recommend it to anyone, & look forward to future dealings myself. I waived the LAG for home delivery, & am confident the spider would have survived just fine in colder conditions with 2nd day delivery, considering the method & materials used in packing; the heat pack itself was still warm, & it was nice n' cozy in that box for that little sling despite barely kissing 50° outside of it.
Despite the waived LAG, he was on top of the tracking as though he still had responsibility for it up to delivery, & I enjoyed the exchange on top of that. Very personable guy, & I got the sense he genuinely cared for this little spider.
His wares are worth a look, & I would gladly recommend conducting business with him. I'm a very happy customer.
Beautiful spiders, great packaging, great communication.
This was my first purchase from Joe, but also my first purchase by mail and my first ever slings. Joe was extremely patient and answered all of my questions, including helping me with basic husbandry issues. The spiders were well-packed in an insulated box, with each spider wrapped in soft paper inside a small vial. The tubes were then inside a plastic ziploc, and they were then well secured inside the box. I paid a few extra dollars to meet the minimum for shipping, so Joe agreed to include a couple of small housing containers, which was extremely helpful, as my intended containers were arriving late.
Joe sent photos in advance, and he even photographed the T sling next to a ruler. The spiders were in perfect condition, active and beautiful. The T was even bigger and better looking than I expected. I will absolutely buy spiders from Joe in the future.
This was my first order from Joe and I couldn't be more pleased. He is easy to work with, communicates well, his pricing is fair, and he delivers what is promised. I purchased a Pamphobeteus insignis and a Brachypelma klaasi, two species not many are selling right now. His selection is fantastic and I will do business with him again soon.
I got a Cyriocosmus ritae and a Ybyrapora diversipes. Both arrived on time and in great shape. Very happy with how this went because I've never bought spiders off AB. I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you so much Joe!
Very flexible with the shipping date so that my spiders could arrive on my day off.
Excellent communication, he was very prompt at answering all my questions
Overall, very pleased with this seller my spiders arrived very quickly and in wonderful condition. He was very good at providing pictures of the individual slings and giving accurate size estimates. Allowing for me to set up appropriate enclosures ahead of time.
10 out of 10 would buy from again
I got an itch for some new slings the other day, so I sent Joe a message on Monday evening telling him what I was looking for, and by Wednesday morning I was unpacking my new additions. As usual, they arrived perfectly packaged, healthy, and alert - ready to start settling right in to their new enclosures.
I write a lot of reviews for Joe Rossi, but that's because I buy a lot of spiders from him - and I will continue to do so! I think it's important for people to know about how easy Joe makes every transaction, the high quality specimens he's offering, and the exceptional customer experience he delivers. In a world where anyone, anywhere can put an ad online and ultimately take your hard earned money without providing what you expected in return, it's reassuring to know that we have a trusted resource like Joe to support us as we grow this hobby. I read a lot of posts on AB by people that have received T's in all kinds of unhealthy conditions, and all the trouble they have with the spiders and sellers afterwards. It reminds me to be thankful that I will never find myself in a situation like that when dealing with Joe.
As always, feel free to message me directly if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help if I can.
Working with Joe has been the best experience I’ve had so far with purchasing tarantula slings. My two babies arrived healthy and active, and Joe stayed in communication through the entire process. They were patient with me when working through the payment systems as I can be a bit of ditz. They’ve got some awesome rare species available that I have searched years to find. I am so happy with my purchase and will 100% be recommending to others and working with them again in the future. Thanks for making my dream Ts a reality Joe!!!
A friend suggested Joe when I was searching everywhere for a C. Ritae. I ended up buying 4, because his selection is too darn good to pass up!
As soon as I paid, he sent me pics of each spider, so I could visualize the sizes. I didn’t ask for this, but I love that Joe does this!
I received them today, packaged very well and exactly as described and pictured. I’m looking very forward to raising these kiddos, I know that Joe gave them a great start.
For several months, Joe has been working on tracking down an incredibly rare species for me. Joe provided updates regularly, letting me know that he was on it and would eventually come through. Well, he came through this week and delivered on a promise he'd made months ago, and I couldn't be more pleased. In addition to delivering the unicorn, Joe also sold me some of the newest, most desirable species in the hobby - I can count on Joe to always have new, exciting species available at reasonable prices. Getting new species that don't have well documented care requirements isn't for everyone, though, so Joe always has a great assortment of tried and true hobby staples available, as well - he literally has something for everyone who is interested in keeping tarantulas, whether they're experienced hobbyists looking for a new challenge or breeding project, or a first-time owner looking to get their feet wet.
I'll also mention how well packaged the shipment was. Temps in my area have been over 100 degrees F every day for several weeks in a row, and I'm pretty sure it's not much cooler where Joe is. The slings were perfectly packaged to travel in these extreme temperatures, and all of them were alert and active when I unpacked them. In fact, I've never received a shipment from Joe that wasn't packaged exactly as it needed to be to ensure the safety and well being of the specimens inside.
I've said most of this in previous reviews for Joe, but that's the beauty of it - Joe is reliable, fair and honest, and just a pleasure to work with, and that hasn't changed one bit! As always, feel free to message me directly if I can answer any questions...
Joe does a great job of making sure the transaction is as seamless as possible. The species selection is great, and he is seemingly always available to answer questions to which he responds rapidly. This is the second time I've ordered from him, and I won't hesitate to order again.
From start to finish, Joe was fantastic. He answered all my questions and is helping find my dream collection of Ts. I will be ordering again soon and would recommend anyone does as well.
Joe and I had been in communication for about a month regarding some of the rare species on his next import. I let him know which I was interested in getting and he made the arrangements. The day before his import was to ship he learned that one of the species I requested would not be sent. Joe called me immediately to discuss how to resolve the issue, which he left up to me. In this day and age of vendors/businesses telling customers what they can and can't do, it was refreshing to hear Joe say "tell me what you'd like to do and I'll take care of it". Refreshing, but as anyone that has had any dealings with Joe would know, not surprising in the least. If Joe Rossi ever decides to leave the invert business, he could easily have a second career as a customer service coach for any number of companies. I look forward to my next transaction with Joe, and as always, feel free to message me if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer them.
