The spring molts are definitely underway...

Another 0.0.1 Theraphosinae sp. dorado sling molted:

My young adult female Davus sp. Panama molted, but she's still in her burrow so no pics yet.

0.1 Pamphobetus sp. chinche juvenile (4.5" DLS) hasn't flipped back over yet, but looks like all went well:

My 1.0 Cyriocosmus leetzi hooked out, and was kind enough to clearly show his hooks and pedipalps even though he's in the burrow:

There will probably be another handful that molt tomorrow, too...

My Psalmopoeus irminia molted last week and now my Poecilotheria metallica and Lampropelma nigerrimum also molted. I've been waiting for them to molt since their abdomen is large. Cyriopagopus sp. Hati hati, Grammostola rosea (RCF), Avicularia avicularia M6 (A. metallica) and Tapinauchenius violaceus are now in pre-molt.

Four pack for me. Phormichtopus sp purple did great and is now big enough that her feet touch both the ground and the lid, so no more wall hanging for her. She’ll move up to a 4x4 once she’s hardened up. Avicularia variegata put on some size (though mostly hidden in webbing) and is also ready to move up. Avicularia sp Colombia also molted today. Last I’d tried to feed her, she stomped the ground like a tiny bull at the baby cricket that had come to see her. Neoholothele fasciaaurinigra’s legs looked longer today sticking out of her burrow. When I dropped a 3 week old cricket in, it ran into her burrow and stopped. When I didn’t see it get yanked in, I poised my tongs for retrieval. After the cricket had turned around and was headed out, I saw a ball of legs and yellow fluff fling out, tackle the cricket and disappear down the hole. Pics to follow!!

Had 3 floofers moult yesterday, Queeny Catheriney Theraphosa blondi juvenile female unfortunately no pic or moult pic as she's deep in her burrow n the moult is squashed up the bk but from what I can see she looks good . Curly Fry Tliltocatl albopilosus Nicaraguan female now a floofy little juvinile 😊 2 n a half inches dls on the moult and she even let me get a pic after she had finished attacking the water as I was trying to top up her dish 😆 20240314_044403.jpg
Fry n don't worry the droplets are off her attacking the water she's not injured 😊

Girly bits for reference .
And last but not least with our first moult in my care my Thrixopelma sp purple blue Delphinium has moulted 😊 was a whopping 1cm dls on the moult and everything looks like it went well and little one is happily wondering round as usual, this sling never stays still lol.

1.0 Xenesthis intermedia molted today. The molt was 3.5" DLS so he'll probably be 4.5" after getting stretched out.

No spermathecae...

Gotta love male Xenesthis, though - look at those colors peeking through, and it's only been 2.5 hours since he finished:

Last of my 3/4-1” slings molted today. Just 1 day past the other 3. Ybrapora diversipes joins the 1”+ ranks. She’s the one that tried to die on me last month and will now get a more homey-home versus the barren observation deck.

Yesterday my 0.0.1 Psalmopoeus ecclesiasticus molted, it's probably over 2" DLS now. Here's a couple not great pics:
1000019646.jpg
1000019648.jpg

Also, my 0.1 Neischnocolus sp. Panama made an appearance tonight after being hidden away in her burrow for the last 2 months, looking longer and skinnier than when she went in. I barely got a pic of her skinny butt as she scrambled back into her burrow with a cricket:

After a week of looking like an oversized grape our LP, Easy Pete, finally moulted. Any chance of getting a nice, intact moult is currently in his mouth 🙄 Not sure how big he got yet as he is still in his burrow!

My heavily grizzled, red guard setae-lacking mystery Avicularia (I think M6) - Gonzo
PXL_20240314_144838651.jpg

She's been fasting for literal months, refused water droplets too. I am relieved to see some activity.

Cyriocosmus sellatus sling molted today. Looks like it's starting to show a little star on that booty! 20240315_182730.jpg
About .5" on the molt, and I'm not ambitious enough to attempt sexing it- it'll definitely just end up shredded. 😂

Sericopelma molted. Looks to be male. I get ALL the males, I swear..
However, he does have 4 girlfriends waiting when he's of age.
