My oldest OBT molted recently... but it webbed the exuvia right up against the chamber wall, so not going to be able to take a peek at this one either. That tease is probably 3" now. It has unsealed the burrow entrance but I'll wait another day to feed it.

Recently molted Augacephalus ezendami got a substrate swap and some moss added. Turret time? here we goooo

I went away for a week to Maui. Came back to find my juvie M balfouri had molted. Her(?) exuvia is buried deep in the tunnel network (I had to catch a glimpse of it to convince myself she actually had molted) so unretrievable.

That evening, while I wasn't looking, my A juruensis sling (temporary nickname White Fangs) also molted.

And then this morning before I left for work I noticed my juvie C versicolor on her back. Got back home to a new spider. She went from a brilliant blue-green to a lovely green-and-pink (adult coloration?). And I swear she doubled in size. I tried to sex the exuvia, but the abdomen was twisted up and I couldn't untwist it without destroying it.

I hate it when they hide the moults, your looking at the t you know it's changed, bigger, brighter but there's no moult to be found! So you start questioning if they have really moulted or if it's just your head . My sp hexa likes to do that 😆

0.0.1 Phormingochilus sp. Sabah red (Upsilon) molted earlier today (yesterday?). Looks like it's broken 1" DLS, and the leg it was missing regenerated.

Also just saw that the last of my 3 Ornithoctoninae sp. Ranong blue slings molted. I have no idea when, and I've been waiting for this one for weeks, but there it is, much larger than last time I saw it (but still only about 1.25" DLS)...

Caught my A gen in the process of molting: "That spider's abdomen is so big and blobby. It just looks like a big white lump." <gets reading glasses> "Oh, those are new legs."

I think it's probably 1.5" DLS now? But it never leaves its burrow, so I haven't had a chance to find out for sure.

Today I had 2 moults .
Sericopelma sp Darien af The Black Daliah is eventually living up her name and instead of being the dull brown she's been since I got her is now beautiful sleek black all over 🥰 I am still waiting for her to flip back over but some sexy feets.

This is Daliah's first moult in my care. Can't wait to see her in all her glory 🥰

My pamphobeteus ultramarinus juvenile female moulted too she has chucked out the moult but is deep in her burrow so no pic unfortunately, but there was 3inches dls on her moult.

Well done lady's 👏

With a view like that you don't really need it to leave!

Tiny little Psalmopoeus irminia sling molted today, it's probably .75" DLS now:
1000016498.jpg

As did 0.0.1 Phormingochilus sp. Sabah Blue (Alpha), which should be 2.5"+ DLS:
1000016336.jpg

Also had 0.0.1 Euthycaelus amandae molt in the last couple days, but there are no pics.

Today was Sally my Aphonopelma serratum slings turn to moult and she's now officially a female, she's in her burrow atm so no pic of her n her blue self, but spermatheca pic for reference. Moult was 2inches dls exactly and everything was where it should be. 20240114_132929.jpg

P. cambridgei molted. Molt measures 5". I was worried about sex since she superficially looked male ventrally, but pretty confident she's a she now.

0.1 Bumba horrida resting comfortably in her little hammock of web after moulting sometime last night. She's just above the 2" mark (5.5 cm DLS) and due for a rehouse once she's hardened up. 🙌
