Well you know your very obscure spiders, ones i have never even researched, but then there was THE Heteroscodra maculata, the one and only, and .... great funThe Augacephalus ezendami sling I just got molted two nights ago and it came out today.

Now @Wolfram1 can stop giggling at me when I misidentify photos of H. macs because I'll be able to tell the difference now.
In my defense they have similar patterns and colors under overexposed lighting... I mean I did it twice so I really have no defense, but still. So cute just got 2 myself! If you add dry moss n ripped up leaf litter they will use it to make a turret like Ephebopus cyanognathus, or my 2 haveThe Augacephalus ezendami sling I just got molted two nights ago and it came out today.

I didn't either till I got them I haven't seen anyone mention it but it is something both of mine have done . They both started with cork moss and leaf litter and both have burrowed under the cork then piled everything ontop to make tiny turrets.:O!!
Thanks for the heads up. I was going to rehouse it into a substrate with less bits but I decided to wait cause it molted... but when I do, I'll be sure to mix some in to make sure it has building materials.
I noticed my Ornithoctoninae LOVE lining their turrets with dried moss, didn't know this species did it too!
Mine is actually only 2cm at most. It looks bigger than it is because of the clip on lens.I didn't either till I got them I haven't seen anyone mention it but it is something both of mine have done . Both did exactly the same thing .
Mine are about 3cm dls atm so not big either so I assume as your baby looks the same size ish they will do the same too.
Super interested to see if yours does! no one I talked to had noticed this behaviour so I am desperate to see if it's all ezendami slings or just mine being strange Please keep me updated
Me neither I got all my info from posts, I think it was @cold blood had posted, but nothing mentioned turrets.Mine is actually only 2cm at most. It looks bigger than it is because of the clip on lens.
I'll definitely keep you updated on this. I haven't seen many people with this baboon either for some reason.
My ezendami doesn't make turrets - it doesn't seem to make anything, just moves everything from one side of the pot to the other and then back again every few days. I think it needs a rehouse. My Augacephalus breyeri, on the other hand, have both made little turrets - one against the side and the other right in the middle. I'll try to get pics but they're all very reclusive.Me neither I got all my info from posts, I think it was @cold blood had posted, but nothing mentioned turrets.
I got mine because I saw an af on Daves little beasties fell in love and had to have one as my first ow... took a year but now I have 2 Tbh idk why they aren't more popular stunning t's imo.
Yay thank you can't wait to see if your little floofer turrets up aswell
That's so cool I wonder why it's not mentioned in any posts, I am sure if people knew they were architects they would be much more popular. Thank you NMTs can't wait to see your little ones masterpieceMy ezendami doesn't make turrets - it doesn't seem to make anything, just moves everything from one side of the pot to the other and then back again every few days. I have actually mentioned turrets probably dozens of times with regards to ezendami...while not all make them, its pretty common for them to make them......I have raised (and bred) many ezendami, and I would say most will make turrets if given the means to do so.I think it was @cold blood had posted, but nothing mentioned turrets
Ah sorry my bad but at least I got the right person (me getting stuff right is a miracle in its self ) thank you for answering anyways, even if I got the info wrong lolI have actually mentioned turrets probably dozens of times with regards to ezendami...while not all make them, its pretty common for them to make them......I have raised (and bred) many ezendami, and I would say most will make turrets if given the means to do so.
