Avicularia minatrix finishing up a molt. Managed to pop the lid without disturbing it.

The second of 0.0.3 Ornithoctoninae sp. Hana molted, it's about 1.5" DLS. Looks like they're picking up some of the blue flame on the booty:

Have some good molts and one very, very bad molt today.

On the good news front, the last of my Harpactira namaquensis trio had a belated molt yesterday, the larger of my Thrixopelma sp. "Sullana" slings molted today, and my Sinopoda slings have all molted within the past few days.

On the bad news front, one of my Catageus cf. longispina juveniles molted today with catastrophic results. It somehow ended up molting without hanging upside down, and the end result was that it got all its legs out on the right side of its body, but only the pedipalps for the left side. I ended up manually removing the exuvia (I managed to do this without ripping off any appendages), but I doubt it's going to survive for longer than a few days.

In the last 4 days, I had molts by:

1.0 Ephebopus cyanognathus, about 3.5" DLS

0.0.1 Haplopelma sp Bach Ma, about 2.0" DLS -- edit, this was actually Ornithoctoninae sp. Ho Chi Minh. Got a little mixed up...

0.0.1 Neischnocolus iquitos, close to 0.5" DLS

Unexpected molt from one of my Ornithoctininae sp. "Vietnam Silver" slings and one of my Chilobrachys sp. "Kaeng Krachan" slings.

In addition, the larger of my Lampropelma nigerrimum slings molted a few days back.....and is obviously male. Sigh.....

Molts today by:

0.0.1 Ornithoctoninae sp. "Vietnam silver", a look into the bat cave:

0.0.1 Neoholothele incei -- err, I mean 1.0 Neoholothele incei, as my "unsexed sling" that I've only had since June matured male today with hooks, boxing gloves and all. It's cool, we'll set him up on some dates... 😆

and... not a great pic, but it's girl! 20230920_142528.jpg
Had been thinking this one looked male, but clearly I was wrong. Guess its time for a name change.

Massive molt day today with one of my two Idiothele mira, the smaller of my two Phormingochilus arboricola, my freebie Caribena versicolor and the larger of my Cyriopagopus sp. "Nhen Dep" all molting simultaneously. I also have a number of Ts in premolt at the moment....

My big male Psalmopoeus cambridgei (5.5" DLS) was hanging in his web last night, so I knew a molt was coming:

This morning all I found in his enclosure was this twisted up mess of green and orange pipe cleaners, lol:

He'll be big, likely over 6" DLS, but that will be all legs. This is my second male to mature this week.
