It's easy, just try to feed them..... I target feed all of my avic slings to make sure they eat lol.Egads, how can you not love an Avic sling! My head explodes every time.
My versi was hunting-challenged for the first year with me, so I do know that pain of making sure the feeder goes directly to the spider, lol. That adorableness just makes it all worth it.It's easy, just try to feed them..... I target feed all of my avic slings to make sure they eat lol.
Looks like you woke it up from a nap by sticking a roach in it's face, lol.Corralling feeders is hit or miss IME. If they get down to the ground level, the slings rarely get them. I literally mean target feed using bamboo skewers.
Nah, it's a problem I've noticed with all the Avic slings I've been raising and have raised. If they have ANY webbing attached to the top of the enclosure (lets face it, they almost always do), when you remove the lid they take that as a threat and hunker down, relying on their stillness and camouflage to be overlooked, and becoming initially non-reactive to prey. You have to snap them out of this, which I do by just lightly holding a twitching prey item right against their front legs.Looks like you woke it up from a nap by sticking a roach in it's face, lol.
I switched to inverted Amac boxes when I noticed the webbing to the lid. Now I just poke the cricket lightly thru a substrate level air vent to get it to climb up to the sling and they pounce…well after awhile, they pounce.Nah, it's a problem I've noticed with all the Avic slings I've been raising and have raised. Don’t you live it when they clean up so nicely? Mine rejected a feeder by sticking it face down in the water dish. Easy removal. My N chromatus moulted into an MM the other day! He is still a bit shy so no pictures yet, but he has very kindly placed his moult into his water dish for me
