My 0.0.1 Lasiodora difficilis sling molted yesterday, but I forgot to post about it at the time. This was after 18 days spent holed up its burrow in premolt and a total cycle length of 44 days. Anyone who claims Lasiodora do not grow fast has clearly never raised one themselves. :smug:

No photos, as the sling is still in its burrow.

0.0.1 Homoeomma chilense. Second time it's molted with me, and it's still under 3/8" (1cm) leg span. 😆 I think there might be a little red showing now, though!

My N. chromatus sling molted for the second time with me overnight last night! She'll outgrow her sling enclosure on the next one!

The last of my P. ornata juveniles molted yesterday and appears female (this being a sexually dimorphic species from 2.5" onwards), thankfully; in addition, the first of the three to have molted this molt cycle also appears to be female based on reexamination of its markings, so I likely have 1.2.0 P. ornata.

My adult female Avicularia juruensis M2, Yrsa, flipped last night and today I found her looking fresh and stunning. Not cooperative for a photo though.

Yrsa is a bit special to me since she arrived malnurished and unable to eat due to missing a pedipalp. She dropped everything she caught. I had to baby her for a few months. Eventually she got her new tiny training pedipalp and could finally eat (almost) normally. It's been almost a year and now she should be back to normal. But I'll cherish this moult. A reminder of her battles... and my motherly duties.

0.0.1 Pamphobeteus antinous sling molted last night. Its abdomen had been looking like a black balloon for the better part of a week and finally I saw it had flipped onto its back. It molted successfully a short time later.
It seemed to be having a bit of trouble getting the tip of its left rear leg free of the exuvia, so I very carefully administered a few droplets of water via pipette to the spot, which seemed to help it work free.

I can’t get a good photo of it right now but it looks to have put on a significant amount of size and is now notably more black than brown.

Looks like it was molting under water...

Two of my Phormingochilus sp. Sabah Blue slings have molted in the last 3 days (one today). The molt from a few days ago measured 1.75" DLS, and the molt from today measured 1.625" DLS. I was able to confirm the molt today as female (she also regenerated leg 1 on the left side):

Also, here's a pic of my freshly molted Homoeomma chilense - the exuvia measured 3/8"! 😂

A third Phormingochilus sp. Sabah Blue molted, this one slightly larger at 2.25" DLS. Hoping I can sex it tomorrow.

Your ability to sex molts that small still amazes me. Even with a microscope, I struggle!
