Finally got a good pic of the p cambridgei since it hasn’t came out ever. All I ever see after a molt is toes. Now I finally saw it. I’m afraid I wasn’t able to sex the molt as I think it’s still quite small. IMG_2876.jpeg

Add my Phormingochilus arboricola juvenile to the list of my stealth molters; she molted days ago and has now thrown out her shed. I'd suspected after the last molt that she was female (this species being sexually dimorphic from a young age), and that has become further solidified with this molt, so going to need to make a name for her.

The juvenile Ornithoctoninae sp. "Phan Cay Blue" that's been in premolt for a while has also made an appearance today and has obviously molted. Hoping it's female....

Another itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny molted today. I was able to take some time lapse pics:

For scale, the label on the vial is 0.5" wide:

All done, 0.0.1 Homoeomma sp. Uruguay:

Also, my 1.0 Phormingochilus everetti molted sometime in the last few days, as evidence by the exuvia he tossed. He doesn't really do pics...

I did see his pedipalps, though, and he is not yet mature - likely penultimate, though.

C cyaneopubescens molted yesterday as evidenced by the partial view of a molt within his impressive web fortress. Waiting for him to come out to see if it was his ultimate.

The larger of my Cyriopagopus sp. "Nhen Dep" slings molted into a juvenile today, one of my Harpactira namaquensis slings molted last night, and one of my two Phormictopus sp. "Dominican Purple" juveniles is upside down on the molt mat.

After hiding for 6 months, Crawlspace ( 0.1 P. cambridgei) molted yesterday and today I found her molt discarded in her water dish. Can't wait to see her come out when she's ready to eat. I caught a glimpse of her legs and she put on a lot of size this time. IMG_20230715_111029816~2.jpg

Since Wednesday I've had molts from:

0.1 Cyriocosmus giganteus (2.75" DLS):

0.0.2 Ornithoctoninae sp. Hana (both of them are around 1" DLS):

Also had 0.0.1 Sahydroaraneus raja molt some time ago, but I'm not sure when - it is very fossorial and never comes up, I just happened to see the exuvia in the burrow when I peeked through the tiny window.

When people say these are fast growing Ts they ain't lying, she went from a speck to nearly 5 inches in a bit over a year. This is close to Theraphosa growth speed!

Some unexpected molts today:

- one of my P. victori slings (now a juvenile) threw out its molt; I'd chalked it hiding away down to the fact I'd rehoused it only a few days ago.

- Both my P. muticus threw out their second molts in my collection after having molted days ago, though their size increase is only slight...damn slow growers.

The big news, though, is that the largest of my P. ornata trio has molted out today, and so has a Thrixopelma sp. "Sullana" sling.

My juvenile boehmei finally molted after what felt like an 10-month-premolt with her not eating and having a big, bald booty. She didn´t even produce any form of a molting mat too....strange little lady she is o_O .

Juvenile female A. moderatum (pictured), newly acquired geniculata sling, plus my giant female L. parahybana (also pictured) all molted in the past day or two.

And there goes the LP sling, too! We decided not to flip over and just go for it leaning sideways. It's moving along pretty quickly, so I think it'll be fine, just a weirdo. 20230717_185037.jpg
And we're done. It's the six minute speed molt, apparenty. Too much time lost flipping over, can't set any records that way. 20230717_190601.jpg
