You never need to apologize for posting pictures of your awesome collection and enclosures.

Cheatopelma olivaceum is a sleeper... they're cheap and don't seem to get much attention, but I got one as a freebie and am really enjoying it. Have you seen the World of Spiders videos of them in Cyprus? Looks like they are fond of making home in the crevices of rock walls. I've seen some very suitable rocks down by the river where I live and once mine gets bigger (and all the snow and ice around here melts lol) I plan to collect enough rocks to construct something that replicates the videos. A little complicated, but will pay off I think.

How fast did yours grow? Any idea if it's mature?

Mine are from 2021 and still small, but I let all my spider grow slow...
It's not adult yet. I love this genus, still looking for the black ones from Israel. These are hard to find.
In Cyprus they live with people like housespiders (in the housewalls, holes...). Absolutely underrated.

I just moved my "little" Grammostola pulchra. Actually I had hoped it would be a male but now I have two girls. This one is from 2018, the big one from 2012. I like them side by side though, Team Pulchra!


This H. davidbowie girl shows herself very often. I really enjoy this species and had an egg sack from her in December! On the right my oldest Lycosa tarantula. She is 4 years old now, also comes out every day.

Aphonopelma johnnycashi 0.1, born in 2021. Not the cheapest T in my collection...
Does anyone here also have an A. johnnycashi female. I would like to compare photos. Although the source from which I got the animal is very reliable, I don't know if I actually own the corresponding species...

I have decided to take out water dishes for cleaning during feeding since they will get moisture from prey and replace them a day or two later. They last a bit longer before it gets backfilled or webbed over

It’s so dry out right now, I make sure they have water every night. For humidity if nothing else.

During the husbandry rounds today....


Very rare daylight appearance of my MF Poecilotheria subfusca LL. Even more rare is she didn't bolt back to her hide when I touched her enclosure lol.


Big MF Poecilotheria regalis NOT pleased I got her toes wet while filling the water bowl.


Unsexed juvenile Avicularia variegata M1, just looking gorgeous. I really need to figure out what sex ratio my growout group is.


Now THAT'S what you call boli! For reference, that's a 1/2" x 1/2" grid lol. I recently pulled eggsacks from two large (7.5"+ DLS) tarantulas and to get them back in good form, they each got two adult female dubia. This is the remnants lol. As far as how those eggsacks are doing.....


Poecilotheria rufilata, BIG 1i slings on day 54. First Poecilotheria sp in my incubator and I find it pretty fascinating that they're already showing the typical pokie abdominal patterning this early.


Phormingochilus sp Sabah Blue EWL darkening for the molt to 1i on Day 44. It seems there was a bit of a fertility issue with this eggsack, but I'm honestly not surprised. This female has a bit of a backstory and I'm just happy I even got an eggsack from her.

I'm planning on pairing him with my adult female. She just molted, so it'll hopefully be this spring-summer. I suspect that Mowgli has 1-2 more molts left before reaching maturity, but we'll see!
