Congrats on her being female! Now u can live with her for the rest of ur life :D.
LOL - probably...although I wouldn't be surprised if she'd outlive me :D

Here's a pic of her I took today and her first meal-vid...she was very hungry :)

Great colors!

Stunning B. smithi, looking well on the vid :D
Yep, she's fine ;)

Here's a few shots of the 7th instar A. purpurea. Somehow I get the feeling this might be a male, but we shall see...

He's starting to lose his sling coloration and has less white stripes now...

I had ordered 2 and received a 3rd one as freebie. All are doing well. They are great eaters and web a lot already as slings. However, they are quite shy. But just cute ;) Go, get them when you have a chance. I think I remember Jamie had some? Might want to check on that...

Nice! They are awesome T's. Very friendly so far, too. However, I made a mistake as the one pictured is a 6th (NOT 7th!) instar. Apologies, was a typo. One of my favorite T's to own so far...

I can't imagine any of my current T's to be worse than that P. cam I own, though. She's outright mean and I swear she hates me, lol :D She has developed a rather annoying tactic of sitting on the outside of the corkbark and shooting straight under the lid whenever I want to open it...little beast!

Thanks, yeah I heard that. On the other hand, most people in the hobby would practically give an arm or leg for certain species from your country ;)

Great pics, that cambridgei's legs are awesome :)
I'll forward that compliment to her, although I doubt she'll be listening ;)

A. geniculata, "Medeia", was out yesterday evening...

A. geniculata, "Medeia", pretty annoyed about me refilling her waterdish today and attacking the stream of water! :D:D:D

P. cambridgei, "Moriko", for a change once sitting still...I swear, if I'll ever get bitten, I'm assuming it'll be her tagging me some day...

A. avicularia, "Timea", 4" female, out and about eventually after molting on June 20th, 2012

And a little update on my P. irminia sling:

Already done! I urged her back into hiding, gently prodded her with a straw into her corkbark home (which she bit three times before deciding to back off, however) :D:D:D

Here's a little update on some molts and just showing some specimens (including that "beast" :D)

And here's the rehouse-video of my P. irminia "Firali", very easy transfer actually ;)

Tons of really nice shots!
Videos are great as well, I find myself checking youtube more often. Seems like the small community of daily posters on youtube is growing.

You know my answer, buddy :D But yeah, it's just a pain in the back to get her away from directly under the lid. Obviously, she has set her mind on that being her favorite new place in that enclosure, though. I'll probably have to think of something maybe to change her enclosure some...dunno yet. We'll see how it goes...

Thank you very much! Appreciated!

Had to redo my Heterothele villosellas enclosure today, as I discovered two rotting cricket carcasses she just threw into one corner UNDER her webbing, hence why I didn't see them. Long story short: Those things attracted mites, so got her out (30 min chasing around since she escaped on me..ugh! NOT fun!), threw everything in there away, washed the whole thing out firmly and set it up anew and dry as needed. Considering she's a dwarf baboon species from Tanzania, she was more scared than daring this time. It went easy.

I set her enclosure up differently this time and gave her 2 levels with the 2nd one having the waterdish and less substrate compared to last time. Reason was that she had a burrow there, but never used it once she established her webbing. She always retreated in her webcorner she made herself and never went down there, so I'm trying this new approach and see how that works. Hopefully, she'll create an awesome tunnelnetwork of webbing again. She has plenty of things to anchor her webbing onto now. The single drawback with this setup will be chasing or removing crickets, but I still want to at least try it out before I trash it.

Here's what it looks like...
