N noooooo don't say that! I need your eyes.... who else will be king of moults n tiny t gender 😉
Don't worry, I'll still be able to zoom in on my phone or use a magnifying glass to look at pictures - it's just hard to do that while you're working with the real thing! 😆

I think my chordatus is the most reclusive T in my collection. Seriously. Even more so than Asian fossorials. I never see it lol

An awful, terribly color-balanced pic but I wanted to post my sling (and my only tarantula). E. campestratus, coming up to search for the mealworm (bottom of pic) that sort-of-got-away after a few bites. (I ended up crushing the head & dropping it back in; it's a bit big for the sling but it's been a HONGRY spood these last few feeds.)

This is my first T and has been doing quite well. It's active, with a huge multi-chambered burrow taking up much of its enclosure. It's molted down there, then ejected the molt, then about doubled in size. It's been doing a lot of landscaping; last night it dug so much that I actually had to remove dirt as it was all pressed up against the ventilated cap! (It has a cork bark hide over the burrow, but I took it out just for feeding.) It's also a good feeder, though it is adorable in that it taps its prey a few times to make sure of what it's encountering before it actually strikes. Knock on wood, but I hope the activity & health continues :) I think it won't be too long before I need to rehouse. I had no idea it'd grow this fast lol.

My H Villosella sling - think he was 1/8th when I got him, if I'm not mistaken. I hadn't seen him for a little bit and was just feeding an empty container for around 2 months, finally seen him out and was so excited.

I've been patiently waiting for this chonky B. Auratum sling to molt. Still no sign of progress... 20241217_191703.jpg

I don't have an I mira. How are you enjoying them?
Easily one of my favorite species. I had a female which unfortunately passed due to a failed molt, but then I got this sling as a freebie and she's as entertaining as the old one was. Awesome feeding response, interesting tunnel designs, pretty blue feet. A must have species IMHO.

I like your profile pic. I'm raising a few elegans slings right now and they have to rank as the cutest, most comical slings I've raised by far.
My C. elegans were very reclusive as slings. But the adult female is often out of her hide.
