Cyndie you represented us hobbyists just great!

I watched the video again and was glad to see the tarantula didn't kick hairs into the face of the lady nuzzling it.

Thanks

Fred,
My daughter had one of the best days today because of you. She now has the biggest spider in the house. She got the adult Brachypelma vagans and the Avicularia versicolor from you today. Is that B. vagans gravid? If it is (didn't get the sex) I'd better get ready for it.

The B.vagans is just a huge female. I really think that she is cool. It was great meeting you and your daughter. I hope to get to talk to you more at the next meeting.

I loved the meeting yesterday! I felt like a kid in a candy store! I usually feel a bit of a loss when a T male matures and I have to send him out, but this time was different. Thank goodness that I did have all those MMs just go out, as it made that much more room for all the new Ts!

And the cool little mantid and millipedes won't burden the T housing at all! The budwing is already on Vivian's desk. He or she is now an official study buddy!

And my youngest one, Nathalie, couldn't stop talking about the black widow with the eggsac that she won in the raffle! She has P-L-A-N-S! {D (Well, with the science fair coming up, perhaps she can use it somehow for that.)

That drive is getting shorter and easier all the time! :D

Sure was a lot of cool stuff (and cool people). That was my first time attending and boy I wish I brought some of my Ts and enclosures, or at least photos. The next meeting I can make it to, I WILL!!!! So save a table for me please :D Thanks Sntcruzan for the T's. That platyomma is sooo fat I thought her abdomen would fall off on the drive home lol. Anyway It was well worth the drive, I got to visit some family in Pacifica so it worked out perfectly. I'll try my best to make it to the next meeting and will bring lots of my stuff, so when somebody gets an accurate date let me know please!!!

Just so you know that is a local but do be careful. They are known for being able to pass through walls ;) That "X" I put in the lid would allow for some to get out so I might suggest that you put them in something a little more secure as to not get them out in the house. I was hopeing to talk to the person that picked those but missed it all together cause I was answer questions somewhere else at that time.

Oh, thanks for the heads up! I rather think she'll stick by the sac, but I'll take care of the possibility of spiderlings getting out later. Thanks!

I let Nathalie take it, as we deal with widows a lot here, so I didn't feel unsafe for her or any of us. (Used up tons of ours in previous years bringing them in to the school to show to the kids.) She is so enthralled with it, too!
