We are getting close to the FFFest and I'm stoked about it.
We could use some snacks to go with the pizza lunch. Please p.m. me with what you can bring. We could also use a few Halloween decorations.

I'm going to bring food but I don't know what yet. I tried REALLY hard to get my hands on some real chapulines (fried grasshoppers) but had no luck.

So I know there are a decent amount of people comming this time and Insect Geeks sponser (Robert) has a good presentation prepared for us. Its going to be fun...we can't wait It will be my daughters first meeting! LOL

How much spider-themed clothing does she have so far?

Anyways I'm making fresh pumpkin tarts (and bringing a cannister of whipped cream), and I found some candy in spider wrappers so I'm bringing that too. Do I need to buy some plastic forks or will there be some there?

She has a tone of bug cloths but hardly any spider ones. She has lady bugs, grasshoppers, butterflies ect ect. Don't think too many baby cloths come with spiders on them.

Really? I bet you could find something now, with all the Halloween stuff out there...She needs like, a spider hat.

I'm bringing a donation box, a few decorations and a large tarantula pic for our game. I will bring some snacks too.
I will also bring name tags. A guestbook might be cool. Maybe one day we can have a newsletter to send out

SFBATS Meeting

Here is a list of who's bringing what.

Lony: Will bring some type of hors d'oeuvre or fruite
Neithersparky:fresh pumpkin tarts ,a cannister of whipped cream, and candy in spider wrappers
Uglykid2: Drinks.cooler with ice. Stuff for the Hisser races
Fred: Paper goods,paper cups and plastic utensils,feltpen and donations for the FREE raffle
Paper crickets for the Pin the cricket on the Tarantula game
Rachel: Donation box, a few decorations and a large tarantula pic for our game. I will bring some snacks too.
I will also bring name tags. A guestbook

Thats all I have in the way of a list.

Somebody to take lots of pictures and post them after the meeting
Raffle donations for our FREE Raffle
Snacks
Good attitudes
New attendees(p.s. That means bring somebody with you )

I'll bring stuff for the raffle. I picked up two neat tarantula window clings specifically for that, and I might be able to find some terrarium supplies I don't need.

Hmm I dunno if I will make it. I am in the process of a move, a rather major one in fact.

We shall see! I rented a truck for a week, and there is still quite a bit to go......

I will also bring a great dip and crackers, stuff for the raffle, the Jacobi video on my laptop and freebies. Big Bertha is on display at Tolay so I will bring Little Lupe to stay for the day.

I have to fix a flat tire before I leave tomorrow
So I may be a little late. If someone could save a bit of room on a table for me, that would be awesome.

Thank you all who attended , we really had a good time. Channel 7 was there filming and interviewing SFBATS members, for a future broadcast. They had a hard time trying to understand why anyone would want to have tarantulas as pets.We even had a few Hisser races, which the reporters thouroughly enjoyed.
We will have our Winter meeting in January and I hope that all of you hobbyist that live close to us will check out the way we do meetings.
There were alot of tarantulas and pedes for sale and a great variety of different species,too.
Thank you Rachel,John,Lony,Ken,Georgi,Robert (Sponsor) and who ever else helped to make this meeting possible.
We are having SFBATS business cards made up to promote our hobby. See our website for photos of them and of our meeting.

Thanks for the link. I'm Cyndie Read btw, and I'm relieved they didn't make me look as psychotic as I thought they would. I didn't know they also filmed at Ken's house!
