Hi All,
I wanted to thank everyone who showed up to our last meeting. It was a huge success.
We are having our next meeting, "The April Sling Fling" on April 12th. The hours will be 11-3pm We are possibly meeting in a larger place and will keep you posted on that. There are a few surprizes that we have in the works, but I guess that you'll have to come to find out what they are..Definately entertaining.......

I had a blast at the event. Met lot's of people and made away with a few spiders: two Lasiadora parahybana; a couple Malaysian Huntsman spiders and two Latrodectus sp. from Madagascar and I think Europe. I will have to check when I get home--I'm away atm so going off memory. I also picked up my P. ornata and A. minatrix from John (Ryan's brood)--The Redstripe moulted a day after I got her home.

I'm looking forward to the next one.

Oh, and a special thanks to Elizebeth. Without her prompt PM about location address I would not have made it.

I made this flyer for a class project this week. I totally stoled some of your guys pictures you posted. Sorry about that. I thought it might be cool to make some flyers for our next event and hand them out places. Postcards sized flyers are pretty cheap to print. I could mail them to members to hand out in their area. What do you think?
Also, if you give me permission, I could use some of your great pics on the real flyer :)
Don't want to print it though till we have a meeting place and stuff more finalized. That's my OBT on there. Do you think it would scare people away? lol. {D

I am just posting to dispell the rumour that I imported a particularily large nast spodder that et me. I didn't, it didn't, and she was not pregnant!:?

That said, I have gotten, the um, shall we say negative elements out of my life?

Perhaps I should begin a thread to set up a "furrin" bug hunting trip?

@Arachnocat You are certainly raising the standards for our promotion material! (I would have done it in crayon, blood and lipstick) Well done

We need to find a place to meet this time, since we are in the 40+ attendees stage. If anyone wants to head up the search, I'm sure Ken n Georgie would not mind some help.Let's try to keep it centrally located. This makes it easiest for all who want to attend.
Thanks in advance !

"The Management"

P.S. I hear that Georgie is sitting on an egg sac.....

Lol

How many slings can you get out of a P. georgi? ;)
LOL...funny!

We are thinking a community center that is close to us might be cheap enough to have the meeting in. We just need to call them and find out for sure and see thier availability. Georgi also had a couple of other ideas too. We will see what we can find out but if anyone else has an idea of a place please tell us all!
