I got mine as little slings. Now they are both at least 2.5 inches. I quite like this species.

If your willing to let them out of their enclosures you would be suprised how good of photos you can get of even the tiniest slings

I also enjoyed the upside down shot Do you have additional photos of the abdomen that you could post? In the first picture, it could be just the angle, but it looks as though there may be a cyst on the left side.

Thats what I thought. Definitly looks like a cyst.

It is definitely an abnormal growth on it's side. It arrived that way from my supplier. I was hoping a good home and a couple of molts and he'd heal up, but I could be wrong.


This is the only other picture I have of it at the moment, any info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The best advice I can give is to feed sparingly until the next molt. I would also try not to disturb him/her too much. Sometimes they will successfully molt out of this in 1-2 molts, but it can be rough going. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you said something to the supplier about this. I don't think that I've ever seen an obt with a cyst.

Up to this point I had never received anything other than top notch animals from my wholesaler, it figures that when I get something for my personal collection that it would have an issue. lol He did offer to send a replacement no charge on our next order, and was truly embarrassed that someone sent it out that way.
