I find way too much emphasis is put on this species being defensive and scary and not enough on what a joy they are to own. I love the elaborate webbing and mine has never given me a single threat pose.

Yours also still appears to be rather small, the attitude comes with size ;) But yeah, for the most part they're really not that bad outside of rehouses if you set them up right.

Saw a video of some wild adult females, absolutely stunning. Definitely one on my list whenever I finally find them.

What localities did you guys end up exporting? I recently added a couple to my lot, wonder if I happened to end up with any of them.

I brought my P murinus about 9 months ago, when i first brought her from a PET STORE!, she was in a right old state, as u can see in the pic (sorry about the blurr, i dident have digital cam at this time, had to use my web cam ;P), i tried feeding her but she never wanted to eat, then 2 days later she molted and she looked even thiner and her legs were curlin under, so 7 days later i threw crap loads of food in there, she was eating very well and 9/10 months down the line and a new camera and home she looks like this....

P.S did i mention pet stores miss treat there T's and also compare the abdomens, you can certialntly tell which pic is the healthy one and what one isent, shes due another molt soon

Please rehouse that gorgeous spider into a more appropriate enclosure. The current enclosure may work with modifications.

Oh no. I'm definitely rehousing, lol. I said the same thing when my buddy brought him to me. The guy he got him from isn't a reputable source. Does alot of whole sales, but we know the guy he got this tarantula from and is a very reputable source. But yea, I am rehousing tomorrow afternoon. There isn't enough substrate and it's damp. It had fungus gnats flying around in it when he first brought it this morning. It needs a lil more room, deeper (dryer) substrate and more anchor points for webbing. They are some beautiful, heavy Webbers. And I want to enjoy it and know my T's comfortable also. Thank you for the feed back!
