Today I noticed my Starburst Baboon/OBT lounging outside of her web tunnels, so I carefully removed the enclosure lid - which happened to be webbed up too. This was one of the rare times that she has not immediately gone into a threat display when I disturb her webbing. Instead, she curled up, and I thought she'd bolt back into a tunnel... but then I dropped in a dubia roach.

Great photos ryancreek, a lovely P. murinus. I wish i could get a chance to photograph mine in good natural light like that; strictly a nocturnal T!

That's interesting. I've never seen an OBT that looked like that. I'll admit I'm colorblind but that looks like it has a lot of blue and green in it. It looks kind of like a GBB to me but I don't have any experience with GBB's so my opinion isn't worth much. Nice one though.

They do have a few different color forms. Recall reading that a few times but I don't own one. Looks nothing like GBB, but maybe a pretty little golden version of an I. mira :p

Great pictures! Made me realize they have Pampho-esque "war-paint" markings behind the eyes. Never really looked that closely at OBTs to notice that, but now that I google some images I see it, and they stand out on yours especially.

I was referring to what appears to me to be blue and green. Apparently it's not really there but it looks like it to me. One of the downsides to being colorblind I'm afraid. Another is never being allowed to pick my own clothes when I go shopping. Now that this has been brought to light, I have no idea what color it is but it's still cool looking to me lol.

I think there is actually a bit of blue/green/purple in the photo but it appears to be from a refracted light source. Perhaps an LED flashlight or a camera flash?

It shows up very purple in the webbing. Could also be light scattering about the thin webbing/bristles. Part of why T photography is so difficult!
