some pics of my new favorite bug:

Do they photograph as nicely as they appear in person?

I know you had mentioned that until seeing one, you didn't feel they were an especially striking species.

In fact, these are pretty crappy pictures, and I need more light. But I spent enough time taking pics of the spider, that if I didn't post something from the session, I woulda felt like I had really wasted my time.

The spider looks much better "live."

Here's a picture of "Indy", my P. Regalis, who just molted a little less than a week ago.

Isn't he a pretty boy?

He was my first Pokie, but I did get him from one of the most reliable breeders, therefore I am pretty certain he's a P. Regalis.

Wendy,

Is this the same regalis as in this thread? If so, I thought you had a female. What happened? Mine recently molted and looks exactly like the one in your earlier thread. I hope mine doesn't turn out to be male! :(

Here is your thread and is what my regalis currently looks like http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?t=33222&highlight=Regalis

Lyle,

I did believe mine was a girl because of his abdomen marking BEFORE this last molt. He only molted in my care once before and I could have sworn up and down that his white stripe got brighter and bigger. But I was wrong. :( Unfortunately he totally destroyed his previous molt, and before I even saw him in his new glory, I had removed the skin and couldn't believe what I saw (or didn't see). Then I was so distraught that I actually removed some of his decorations so that I could turn the cork bark he was sitting on to see him with my own eyes. And there he was!

How big is your Reglis, Lyle? Has she molted in your care yet? If so, were you able to sex her? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that she's a girl. ;)
