Well the pot he came in said ornata :D

I did check his ventral colouring a while back and it seemed right for an ornata ;)

So I'm 99% sure it's an ornata, and about 85% sure it's a he :)

Oh.... I thought only the rufilata was the one that had the green color to them.

my 3" P ornata and my about 1" P regalis. the P ornata pics were takin through the tank so the quality is not the best but it should do for now..

That's a very nice female ornata. Why people allways ask because they are bluish/purple. :D

mine looks so much different i got it from kelly swift a few weeks ago and all the other Ornata pics that ive seen none of them have looked like that...or maybe i have over looked it but i thought the were darker in color than that... :confused: can they have that bluish purple to them prizz??? im new to pokies thats why im wondering if so than thats awsome...

Although there is some superficial resemblance between P. ornata and P. rufilata, only "rufies" have the strong blue irridescence on the venter of the femur of the palps and Leg I. Also, the dark band on the venter of the femur of Leg I is much broader in "rufies".

Which one? The P. fasciata was about 4.75" and the P. ornata was close to 6". 4 to 5 gallons (15-19 liters) of volume will suffice easily.
