Hi guys,
This is the first pic I've posted so I hope it works. I wanted to share some pics of my female Platyomma. She molted 2 days ago. Hope you enjoy - isn't she pretty?
I don't think you have a Platyomma, I believe this is an Ecuadorian Purple. I have the same looking female.

Hi,just finished pairing my P.sp Machalla,i was a bit dubious about pairing these two,i tried to mate this species a week ago,and the female ate the male!!! Luckily i had another mature male,it took the new male about a month to make his spermweb which i observed the remainders of in his tank,so i thought i'd give them a go.
Pretty much a text book mating,although i think the female wanted to eat this male aswell!!! But i managed to witness 1 decent insert ;)

Only P. nigricolor, spec. "Machala" and ultramarinus ´till now (but I try more ... ;) )

My favourites are other (Grammostola spp, Aphonopelma spp from North America, Avicularia spp ...)

hehe, indeed Moose! I guess she's breedable size now, she didn't grow too much... So I'll have to speed up the subadult male :rolleyes:

they get ulgy brown kinda quick though...
but are awesome eating machines.

haha, yes that's the idea :cool: . Yes a lot of colour change when they molt, almost 'chicken spider' black :D I thought she would grow more though. How big is yours?
