Pato, that chicken spider is awesome! I can't believe you have one. :drool:

On a side note, some of the MM's from this genus are amazing.

About how big was the female.

Hi Chris, that one about 6.5 inches. Not that big, but really stocky. This species grows very large, I've seen dead females in boxes :)( ) about 22cm leg-span, they sell them like that in Iquitos...really sad to see that and the other animals too....even Jaguar teeth you could buy in the street really cheap :mad:

I agree. I love all Pampho's but there is just something about the ultramarinus:D
Very true Chris,im the same,all i keep is Pamphobeteus,P.ultramarinus has got to be the best looking of them all,closely followed by P.sp Machalla and P.vespertinus in my opinion ;)

Hi,with all the nice and sunny weather we've been having here in England,i took a few of my spiders out into the garden for some shots without flash.

Mature male P.vespertinus.
