I'm going to be watching like a hawk for updates on this project. P. Metallica is high on my want list, but usually way out of my price range. But I'm always happy to support people who work to help make species like this available to more people by buying from them! :D Good luck, I hope it all works out for you! Go P. Metallica! Make a HUGE sac for everyone to enjoy! {D

you all obviously have not heard yet. I have a breeding pair of metallicas as a project. The male matured out 2 weeks ago or so and am waiting on a spem web so I can beed them. You literally looking at legit $50 slings being introduced to people. There needs to be more in the hobby soooo there you go.... Nothing is too good to be true.

Kris
If they were so easy to breed dont you think that there would be a few more people in the USA having success with them?Thats why there so expensive here because there rarely produced. There not exactly to cheap in
Europe either ;]
Good luck with it man.Im not gonna say there the hardest species to breed but before you go running your mouth saying all this do your homework first!

It's not that they are hard to breed but in my opinion is that they is a shortage ergo more expensive. I can guarantee if there was an abundance of metallica as there were regalis than they wouldn't be so expensive also like the Xenisthis sp and monocentropus sp. The more expensive they are the more people get turned off by them. That is why I am selling for so low. ;P

If the male holds out maybe I can get two or three if they are all successful...

It didn't seem to be a problem for the dealers who have had them, to sell out at the prices they were asking. So the supply hasn't met the demand yet for these people who are "turned off" ;)

Good luck with your sac, at 50 bucks a pop, I'll buy the whole thing off you. ( and then sell them for what there worth )

I tried to convince him of this on the Arachnophiles thread but I didn't get much response. I hope he's successful but I'm more inclined to think he'll see what were talking about after a few attempts. I'm on my second attempt with my two females and,,, so far, no good. But I'll keep trying.

Well, I would appreciate being able to get a P metallica sling without having to hand over my entire paycheck.... While it may not be the best business practice to sell at a price lower than what they are worth, it is a kind gesture that would definitely be appreciated by the people that cannot afford $100+ for a spider, and a baby at that.

I have sold t's before and again I am not here for profit and again I say if there were as steadily available as regalis then they wouldn't be so cheap. $50 a pop for me is plenty enough...Just be happy with the price....

Got a lady in cameroon tryin to sell 3"ers for $110 ea. Kinda shady though and I'm not comfortable with shipping overseas, $110 is one hell of a deal. Too good to be true IMO.
You were right to be suspicious. I heard some people got ripped by sellers from Cameroon.

Well I recently read a (-) review of a "petra" at spiderpimps.com and beleive it to be this same person trying to sell them here, where I persued and became dissapointed upon learning there were coming from cameroon.
Stay away from these names! Sorry if this should be in reveiws but I think we should post it here for popular search. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just hate scammers and theives.
