I am soon getting a juvenile nhandu tripepii. What is your experience with this species? Is their temperament generally similar to N. chromatus and how do you keep them?

So slightly moist substrate? Beautiful female!
Yes, they like damp sub, but it can dry out for periods of time, too, as they are fairly drought tolerant. I keep half damp and let it dry out...when its dry for a bit, I add water.

If you get some slings and hide their enclosures behind some larger ones she'll never know! :troll:

I keep a sub-adult male. I’m gonna be honest, my experience with it has been really, “meh”. It hides a lot, fasts often, and is just overall boring (even considering general tarantula behavior). Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sorry I have it because it’s very cool looking, and got to about 5” DLS very quickly for a NW terrestrial. I like my chromatus a whole lot more.
