Not to steam roll this off topic (like that's not happening) but I happen to know that in MY world G.porteri are must haves.
-quietly baby talks Karma and Yeti -
Assures them that they are indeed the biggest best girls ever, no matter how common they might be.
Yes yes I know they can't hear and couldn't process the info if they could, but all in fun ^.~
(my G.porteri girls)
Meh..the change of topic is appreciated..
Now baby talking my Ts' is something I'm very guilty of..

How could you not love a T that can thrive on 12 meals a year but may refuse 6 ,burys its water dish within hours of you finally remebering to unearth it and fill it up and is allways doing nothing gearing up to do something completly unpredictable..

They are an eight legged living enigma.. Legends in there own right..

I really need to just stop opening these 5 page threads, because it's always the same thing. This thread legitimately saddens me - such a great forum tainted by a very small handfull of toxic users.
I've taken to using the ignore feature, so I don't see any of their posts, and it makes being here a lot more enjoyable and stress free.

I like to name mine by numbers.

The way I see it is that these amazing creatures already have names. Now that I think about it its kind of like if your name was bryan but everyone decided to call you steve...

Just my opinion.
You mean every Homo sapiens should be called Homosapiens? (teasing)

Every moment i hear "Toxic" couldn't think to one of my teen era heroes, he was the man, indeed :)

And here I am singing Britney Spears whenever I see the word Toxic - embarassingggg.

Hahahaha I knew this would come up. In a way we already are numbers labeled by our ss# and lots of other numbers. So we may not be called Homo sapiens but non the less... You are a number.

I'll have to be careful to not put my actual name/number on my "hello my name is _____" tag though!

No way am I riding the merry-go-round that these threads become this time, I just want to point out that given the species and the apparent mood swing that the B. albopilosum was said to have taken, "Surly Temple" is the best tarantula name ever!

hahaha I have absolutely no problem with people naming there T's tho. Just my own preference. Some of the T's I get from adoptions come equip with names and I try to remember but... It's just to difficult to remember. Although I think I have 4 G. Porteri named Rosey.....

I allowed my wife to name them, because that was my way of drawing her in and encouraging her to take part. I have no idea what she names them, but she does.
