I just got one, I have fallen in love with her.
She's a very laid back spider, allows me to hold her with no fuss. She kind of picked me out at the pet store, I got her on my hand and then she just wandered up my arm and refused to leave. There was no way she was staying behind. Just a great species, IMO. If you stop to look at them they have such interesting purple hair on the thorax and such lovely velvety uriticating hairs (not that they feel velvety..ouch.) ..I can't get enough of her.
I keep getting kind of weird comments because they're such common spiders but they're great and I'm glad to see others who like them too.
How sweetMy rose hair sasha is so laid back lol could't ask for a better spider I thinkmof her as my baby lol
I don't know that they 'play' with them, but some spiders will move them around. G. rosea, one of my B. boehmei, LP all interact with theirs. I pulled the balls from the spiders who ignored them. I haven't tried them with arboreal or fossorial, yet.Lol, I will tell my brother about the prairie dog needing a clip and it's okay about the pic overload, that's what I want to see!And I see so many people putting ping pong balls in there G. Rosea tanks, what does it do? What is the point of it?
Some great shots.Sorry for photo overload... Can you tell she is one of my favorites?
