It changes all the time in the ones I keep... I find a GBB beautiful every time I look at it, then light falls on my C. versicolor and it takes all the attention. And my A. avicularia has a special place anyway. Can't help but love those pink toes

I'm getting a P. regalis at the end of the month and it may very well be a top contender. My P. metallica sling is not colorful enough at the moment :)

I love all my T's equally, even my MM's and all are treated like royalty. Probably the ones i look forward to seeing the most currently are Phlogius Goliath and my newest addition, Selenotholus Stirlingi. The slow motion happy dances of the latter are absolutely adorable 20200413_174113.jpg 20200413_173043.jpg

Acanthoscurria geniculata - They're bloody gorgeous, they don't know what hiding is, and they're ravenous murder tanks.

Psalmopoeus irminia - Just bloody look at her!

Avicularia variegata - My favourite species from the genus, they get big, they're great eaters, and they're stunning

Caribena versicolor - I just love raising these little buggers, good eaters and look great.

Stop that! You're making my brown T's above look bad!

I love all my T's, but I would have to say my Alice, Aphonapelma chalcodes is my favorite. (Don't tell the others!). She is a big girl, and is the sweetest thing. Never in a hurry. If she is disturbed she just calmly walks back to her hide. She will stay out in the open for hours and groom herself. So much fun to watch. She has never kicked hairs and has the cutest butt. I recently just bought a tiny A. chalcodes sling because I love the species so much, I wanted another to raise from a pup. It is Alice's Mini Me.

I’d say all of mine are my favourites but that seems kinda like a cop out. My B. hamorii is so calm and so photogenic and for that I adore her. But my favourite species in general might have to go to A. chalcodes. I love their colours and I find the differences in personality from specimen to specimen fascinating.

A GBB is one of my personal favourites so far. A very beautiful T.Mine has been fairly active, webbing its enclosure and moving around substrate to create the ideal hide. It's a very good eater from my experience, and doesn't reject food often; unless its in premolt. Mine has a wee bit of an attitude; attacking my tongs and throwing threat postures at times LOL. But that's ok, spicy tarantulas can be more fun

What are your guys' favourite Ts and why?

Mine probably has to be the P.metallica, currently have 2 of these guys, a female and (probably) a male. The whole Poecilotheria genus is amazing and full of beautiful T's!
Got some photos of them that I'm going to attach here :)

A geniculate gets my vote. Easy to care for, grows to a good size, looks good, usually on show and has an amazing feeding response.

I think P. metallica is gorgeous but I am waiting for my H. pulchripes to grow up before I say it's not a pretty T
