I was curious to hear what everyone's favorite dwarf is? I'm new to the dwarf game but I'm looking to possibly add another sp come black friday. I posted a picture of my favorite at the moment. They are going to look truly stunning when full grown.

I keep quite a lot of dwarf species, but these are my favorites.

This is a tough decision. I love my h. Chilensis because it's so chill but I also love my h. Vangoghi (or whatever the new name is). It's always out and has a decent growth rate vs my h. Chilensis who is frozen in time. I'll have to go with the hapalopus.

I only have k brunnipes ans davus pentaloris. Its not hard for me to chose davus pentaloris. This small sizes tarantula has attitude, color, appetite (when its in the mood) and not really defensive. I have had them strick a stick once in a while when doing maintenance, but its mostly a strong (remarquable for the size) tap.

my enclosures are set up terrestrialy, but in a way the the enclosure can become the burrow. One of them has a cork hide inclined in substrate. That became the burrow. They are always out, in general.

Its bolty more then anything, which all spiders can be in general. especialy the small ones, which makes a lot of sense to me. They are quick to move, but display awesome feline hunting traits when a prey is in their mire.

I think i forgot one point AFFORDABLE.

if i could go to the store and pick up all the fancy taranturals i covet, id probably be in well over 1000$CAD, for about less then 10 slings.

when i got my davus pentaloris, they were 15$ each. It makes them accessible to all ages.

with all the fancy “chibi” tarantulas out there, (i will start saying Chibi because they arent really dwarves hahaha), that arent still as available as the well established ones, it creates desires. Wanting that super uncommon colorful to add to your collection. Wanting the same tarantula as everyone else.

but lets get real, it gets pricey. We can find satisfaction with the right one. At a good price too.

They are one of those bang for your buck T's. Funny how some of my favorite T's are also the cheapest.

H Chillensis. Even as a tiny sling it wants to be sociable. I have my eye on a Holothele Longlegs. Worth getting?
